My boy talked me into taking him pedaling tonight. We went up by Farmington canyon. We rode up from the pond then down the King flo trail. What a friggin riot! We had so much fun we did it twice

I haven’t been on my bike in years and years and yes…years. I have zero skills and am horribly fat and old, but I really had a good time. Hopefully this lights a fire to keep me going
I rode the farm tonight too. Kings Flo is a riot, such a fun trail!

My XXL noggin is in a TLD helmet. I'll try and find the exact model. The Leatt's fit my head well too.
I have been looking at the a3s from tld, does anyone wear a full face? I used to ride with a lighter moto helmet way back when I thought I was cool. With the new bike thinking I might go with their stage models as they seem lighter than the d4 and I won't be doing any crazy jumping, just feel like I have been moving faster on the full suspension and can just see myself wiping out face first.

Mine is an A3 with MIPS. I really debated the full face when I bought this one last year. I'll probably end up with a full face eventually. It makes sense when you're doing 25mph plus down a skinny single-track.

Bingham has a POC Tectal XXL on closeout.

Awesome!! That’s 2 minutes from home. I’ll stop in tomorrow and try it on.

There is a used POC Tectal xxl on KSL for 100 bucks. But for 44 more I think I’ll get a unsweated in one

Thanks!

I’ve been wearing a POC Tectal for the last couple years. It’s been a good helmet but does not have MIPS. The front pad is starting to break down and POC wants like 30 bucks for a new one. I tried on a Fox Speedframe MIPS yesterday and it fit nice. I can get that for about $90 through Expert Voice. I may just do that instead of replacing the pad in my POC.

Been doing too much with my Ducati’s lately, but just so you know I haven’t forgotten my roots here is my latest project: 1990 Redline Forty-Four with the elevated chainstays. This one got disc tabs, all new cable routing, an internal dropper that drops via the left brifter, a new headtube to fit modern forks and slacken the geometry and red powder coat because it’s a Redline. It’s in full on gravel mode with 650B x 41 tires and a wide range 1x9 drivetrain. Still needs grip tape, decals and a matching powder coated stem. FFF1CF41-83F4-408F-A3B6-0D79DA0036FB.jpeg

Got to spend the summer in Quebec hitting some of the best MTB parks ive ever been to. Riding MSA is a biblical experience for anyone following DH racing. I cant recommend these parks enough to anyone thinking about traveling outside of the USA. The Quebecois are no joke when it comes to riding bikes and building some gnarly lines.
