If you’re going to do them, I would definitely look into BD exhaust manifolds. They use all the studs in the head which support the manifold much better so you won’t have this problem in the future they flow better too. I noticed a difference on my truck when I did them...
I think I read on their website that if you buy the carrier/locker from them with the kit it will be machined.
I think I would feel a little better with a shop who has done this before. But maybe I’ll go around to some local shops and see what they say.
I think I’ve reached the limit of my stock 44. I want to put a selectable locker in and was think I should upgrade the gears at the same time. I did a little research and came across the Jana 54 set. This sounds interesting to me but I have never setup gears and don’t fell like trying now...

I recently put up a Cleary pole barn. I did all the work myself. Took a couple months since I did 90% of it myself. But I’m happy. Prices have came up a lot in the last couple years. Just need to do the concrete and wire it. Hope to be in it this winter.
