    LS1 camshaft upgrade?

Lame........ more power will make it easier to finish off those current tires .....

    LS1 camshaft upgrade?

I wouldn't bother with a tune without at least a cam. You wont pick up enough to be worth the $. The axle back exhaust sounds good but isn't adding much for power or flow. You'll need long tube headers for any significant gains there. There is a cam made specifically for that combo and stock...

GMC / Chevy Getting a 1969 Chevy K20 back on the road

Yep, We just did one on a c10 with the same setup and it drives fine. Toss in a small cam before its in the chassis. May as well wake it up a bit. The extra $ for a Holley Terminator would be money well spent in my opinion. The Holley software and interface is great.

General Tech What did you work on Today?

Wiped down and masked off my LS2 block for a little paint. Rotating assembly tomorrow most likely.... Still waiting for cam, head bolts and head gaskets but will be nice to get the crank, rods, and pistons back in the block at least...

    The Farm Runner

Jensens actually called me today. Block for the LS2 is in near perfect condition. They only recommended a hone and light resurfacing of the deck just for a MLS headgasket. Everything else is mint... Still gonna do a set of forged pistons and a balance while its apart though. They are gonna...

    The Farm Runner

Well, decided this thing either needs to go back under the knife or it needs to come apart. It has been driven like 2 times in the last year. Then this pic from Race-Dezert Happened... So... Thats a $150k rig and Im not doing that...lol But...A much much much much much cheaper version...

Here we go... 1969/70 Chevy C10/K20 projects

Ive bought a couple versions of these over the years and then built my own off this design too but I seem to use the Winters shifters in everything... My only complaint with them is getting them mounted up nice and hi where you can reach it easily

    Machine shops ?

I ended up taking it to Jensens even though I wasn't thrilled with the wait time.. I'm hoping the time quoted was a case of under promise and over deliver...lol In the end the answers to questions I had were far best answered by Carl down there. I left with the feeling that I will be good to go...

    Machine shops ?

I forgot about those guys, they did a couple valves in a set of Edelbrock Small block heads I bought cheap that ended up on my old red Blazer... Maybe Ill give them a shot on this one. In theory, as far as machine shop work it should be a simple one

    Machine shops ?

I've heard they do good work, I gave them a call earlier today because they are close. He said 3-4 weeks "probably" on cleaning it, honing it, and polishing the crank. 4 weeks " probably" scared me a little.

    Machine shops ?

I'm hoping to do a re ring and bearing basically but we shall see... If it needs pistons I'll end up going forged and having it balanced. My wallet is really hoping it's good to go. It's the only LS I've torn down that didnt have terrible looking cam bearings I just ignored and moved on...

    Machine shops ?

Who is everybody using these days for engine machine shops... I'm up in Willard but I haven't done one in a long time. I've bought shortblocks and crate motors... I came across a decent deal on another LS2 ( alum block 6.0 ) so I grabbed it. I'll need a basic block cleaning, cylinder hone...
