I'd wager it's safe to say all Priests molesting kids are homosexuals. How does that affect your risk assessment?

The scope of the Trans discussion is ridiculous. We never have this much public debate about any other cohort that is 1% or less of the population. It's basically turned into a stick to beat the opposing side with.
Maybe some. Certainly some. But homosexuality and pedophilia are not the same thing and being one doesn't come hand and hand with the other. I think the causal relationship here is mental illness, but homosexuality isn't an illness, but being that way and being unable or afraid to live that way could cause some...

So do I think a priest who is also gay is also struggling with some massive emotional turmoil that could eventually lead to some heavy mental illness? Yes. My unqualified theory would be that a closeted gay priest that molests children isn't doing it because he's gay, he's doing it because his indulgences are considered forbidden so over time he begins to associate forbidden acts with sexual satisfaction and that process eventually leads to finding things that feel more forbidden. So the question would be, if he had always felt accepted for who he was, would he ever have developed those urges? People are born homosexual. I don't believe people are born pedophiles. Something happens to them to create that. Statistics show much lower rates of sexual assault and child molestation amongst the lgbtq community, so that may line up.

Wouldn't that be the cruel irony? Having to love and accept lgtbq people and creating an accepting culture for them to exist actually decreases mental illness and subsequently things like suicide, sexual assault, and child abuse?

With the raid on Mar-a-Lago, and now the fact that Trump is supposed to give his deposition to NY.....I started to wonder a question to people that support him and his ideals so much.

What would it take for you to stop backing Trump and admit he is guilty of some crime?

I find the irony of him pleading the 5th in the NY deposition very much poetic justice. To me, THAT alone screams a ton about him and his business dealings. He is a heavy critic of the 5th, with NUMEROUS speeches where he says "If you have nothing to hide, why plead the 5th" and "The Mob takes the 5th" I just feel he is finally getting caught in his web of lies.

So, I do pose the question. Will you EVER believe he is guilty of anything? Will you EVER stop supporting him? What will it take to break his cult of personality? Will you only believe he was framed, or that it is just a witch hunt? Leave Hillary and Biden out of this....I believe both of them are guilty of crimes as well...but it isn't a "Yeah...but them" type of argument.

I have no clue on the Mar-a-Lago raid, and will wait to see what comes of that, but I am guessing he is not innocent in any of his dealings.

I guess if the government ever wanted people to question about a 2 tiered justice system, rules for thee and not for me, and undermine trust they are doing a pretty good job. So we have the FBI raiding Trump's place and what's the reason? Embezzling funds from Ukraine? Drugs? Nope just improper handling of documents or some BS nothingburger again.

Maybe they are trying to draw attention away from the 87,000 new IRS agents.

Do I think he has a squeaky clean business empire......absolutely not. Do I think he has a squeaky clean character.....absolutely not. Can you point me to a politician who has a superior moral compass.......I'll wait for you to give me one.

Until they can actually charge him with a legitimate prosecutable offence, I will stay of the belief that he scares the living shit of the the DC swamp and they will to go to any and all means to try and keep him from running in 2024. I can't find the article right now but DNC head Mark Elias said the quiet part out loud after the raid. This is all about creating something that can legally prevent him from running for office even if he is not guilty of anything.

He is a disrupter to the corrupt ruling class of both D's and R's. If you don't believe we have a corrupt 3rd world government and intelligence regime that is only watching out for themselves.....you need to quit watching CNN and MSNBC.

I don't watch either station, nor Fox News, Newsmax or OAN. I just read different articles...many pro Trump. I don't know why, unlike you, find the pro Trump stuff more unbelievable.

As I asked (and is being avoided) WHAT will it take? This is the basic crutch. "They are doing anything to keep him out of power" "Well no one is 100% innocent" Or "Look over here at the 87,000 IRS agents, blah, blah, blah. I do believe what he said when he ran in 2016. He probably could shoot a guy in Time Square and not lose any votes from his core. It just seems they can't see past him and will come up with some BS argument why he did what he did was justified, or that it was some Deep State conspiracy.

I don't believe in the whole idea of "The swamp" in regards to politicians on both sides doing whatever they can to keep power, in some conspiracy BS. I believe The Swamp is the bs lobbying revolving door of former politicians, and the "pay to play" crap that goes on...but not in some Deep State crap.

Call me a bit more idealistic...but I believe most politicians used to run with all the best intentions. I believe they get corrupted in power and then tend to favor lobbyists and parties over what's best for America. I do not believe there is some "intent to destroy America" or some grand scheme to turn us into a communist state. Sure, some politicians have those ideals.....but I believe they are the outliers and that both parties are corrupt in who/what industries they cater to and how they slowly pull rights, freedoms and choice making from the individual.

Also, why is it that Republicans that vote against Trump are immediately traitors, RINO's, etc? Why is it that Trump is infallible in so many people's eyes? As I said in other posts, I honestly believe if Trump ran and someone petitioned to run for a 3rd term or even become a dictator of some kind...his base would 100% support those moves.

Simple answer……his political balls to stand up against the unified Republican and Democrat party who behind closed doors all are on the same page is why I will support him. Show me a candidate who has real balls and I will support him.

Right now if it was a choice between Desantis and trump I would probably choose Desantis. In the end you are not going to change my mind or anyone else’s so I will just sit back and watch you scream from the mountaintops how much of an asshole Trump is.

So there is nothing Trump can do to make you lose his support. Got it.

I am not trying to change anyone's mind....I asked what would have to happen for you to change your mind. You answered it without actually answering it.

The lack of IRS agents to process incoming paperwork in anything close to a reasonable amount of time cost me a $140k in grant money for my business last year. I still can't get my 2019 return corrected so that I can even apply for more grants, and the IRS office in Ogden officially received it almost 10 months ago. I'm thankful for the hiring of more agents to handle the massive volume of paperwork that was created through all of the grants, ERC credits, and deadline movements of the last couple of years. Is the group consensus that hiring more people to handle that workload a bad thing ?

I've also wondered how Trump supporters with daughters approach that....if your daughter got selected as a page or some other position directly working with Trump, is that an honor or a hell no? Vince McMahon has a cleaner record around women than Trump.

So I throw it the other way what would the Democratic Party have to do to get the sheep to stop voting for them?

Been preaching “change” for decades, what do they get? More of the same. Yay green energy promises ohh wait but it really isn’t just large sums of money in different peoples hands with zero impact on climate. Maybe actually worse?

Fiscally responsible government? Ohh yeah let’s just look at this latest turd.

What’s the point of bringing this up? Just trying to divide people on the board as well. Shit sandwiches all around. Corruption on both sides. Huge financial gains on both sides. Huge national debt on both sides. As I’ve said before Trump is a despicable human being. But does he deserve this persecution more than “insert politician here” maybe but if you go after him best treat it fairly and go after everyone equally. Why isn’t Hilary’s house being raided? How was she not imprisoned years ago?

It’s election season grand standing just like this Jan 6th investigation farce. Blows my mind how much time is being spent on this. If these tools spent 10% of the time they spend trying to convince everyone how bad the other side is imagine how productive our government could be. Wipe them all out blank slate no parties only way to resolve it

I'd think nobody would support Trump anymore if he put an angry birds grill on a Jeep.

- DAA

ACTUALLY, I'd be willing to bet 90% of those grills were purchased by Trump people along with their collection of Chinese made American flag apparel and vape sticks.

I am not trying to divide anyone....again, it's a pretty basic question.....it's curiousity. It just seems very difficult for people to answer with projecting or bringing up the "yeah, but" crap.

I would venture to say that Democrat's are much better at shunning and ostracizing their members when they have been accused of wrong doing (maybe that's a bad thing) You compare Trump to the Democratic party in asking what it would take to get people to stop voting for them...I find it interesting. You are basically saying Trump IS the Republican party. I don't see any Democrats looking for Hitlary's endorsement. I think I have seen more Democratic congressmen and senators step down or having been asked to step down for misconduct then Republicans.

I agree with treating every politician the same...and do feel that Hillary's house should've been raided and looked at. I am not saying the Democrat's should be less scrutinized or prosecuted/investigated. I just feel that I see a huge hypocrisy on the Right regarding supporting a candidate (not the party) no matter what.
