When I see these idiotic things driving around all I can think to myself is how bad that cooling system is struggling. The looks are terrible but they're secondary to them impeding the ability to run and cool properly.
I think about that too. I also think how crazy it is that somebody paid for that stuff. I looked it up one day and it was in the thousands.

That's exactly what comes to my mind. That and the added weight to make the rig grumpy. It's bad enough to add weight for a bumper/sliders/etc or something useful in my opinion. Let's add weight for "cosmetics". It's their rig, do what you want with it. I don't get the appeal but then again, I like my rigs to look fairly stock (as it can) and let the performance speak for itself.

^^This. I couldn't agree more. My personal vehicles I prefer to be "sleepers". Have the performance where it counts but other than that get lost in the crowd that they are so "common" or OG looking. Now back in the day my street rods and race cars were the exact opposite. Those were more in your face modified and just the opposite of stock, but then they were built for different purposes. Nowadays I like my vehicles looking fairly close to stock or unmolested but have it where it counts in the performance and reliability department and be in proper repair at all times. 👍
