Looking for options and opinions and know this is the best place for both. Heater and AC work. Blower speed works as well but won't change off vents. Selector switch has more resistance than expected but it won't change positions. I'm assuming the switch but not sure how to get the part. Is it just the one or do I need to change the whole thing? Defrost would be nice on these brisk winter mornings in the country. Thanks

Anyone with ideas besides just throwing money at it? I'm trying to get this jeep right for my son before he starts driving and we've got some plans for it. Just don't want to spend money on the wrong parts. It's seems like it would be too small of an issue to take to the dealer. I've never had this issue in a vehicle before. I've heard it could be a diaphragm in the unit or just a simple switch issue. Even though my wrangler is older by 4 years I haven't experienced typical heater or AC issues that I've ran across during research. Help would be greatly appreciated. I'm getting him over the Thanksgiving weekend and it would be nice to have that issue handled so we can ride together. Thanks

I'm not aware of blend doors being an issue on JKs? So it's not switching back and forth from floor, defrost and vent?
Yeah. It's stuck on vent no matter where the switch is pointed
