My wife and I are going the week after new years to get some sun and time away. I normally ride dirt bikes or MTB's in St George but she only hikes.
What are your favorite Hikes in Zion or the general St. George area. Not looking for 10 miles but 5-7 is fine.

Our favorite trails in StG are Red Reef (near Quail Creek), The Vortex and the Maze (both in dammeron valley). All are pretty easy family hikes close to town.

Most trails in Zion trump those 3, but we didn’t go into the park often when we lived there, for obvious reasons.

Angels landing 😎

It is permit only these days, but not sure if it’s still busy in December
I have never done Angels landing but want to. My wife doesn't ever want to and I don't want to in the snow.

Thanks. We have done Red Reef but only a few miles. I'll check out the others. I normally avoid Zion but hope being the off season it wouldn't be as crowded.

We have done a few hikes in snow canyon. I can’t remember the name but one went to some lava chutes that was pretty awesome. It was on the map they give you at the entrance of the canyon

We did those lava tubes in snow canyon just a few weeks ago. They were short, but pretty crazy. Not the tubes I am used to.. and decidedly not fat kid rated
