I don’t have a pic.. but a neighbor called me in a panic because he could see water coming from the kitchen ceiling in his cameras, and no one was home.

Upstairs toilet blew a supply line, flooded the bathroom, drained through the floor, and out the ceiling. Water EVERYWHERE.

So that was fun.

Crazy! What are the odds of breaking a toilet supply hose? I have never heard of it

Right?
It was the original hard plastic line from 1994ish. The plastic nut cracked at the tank, and no longer held a seal. I wonder if maybe a cat wedged it's way back there 🤷‍♂️
Either way, every toilet in the house now has a new supply line.

With the ongoing struggle of squeezing enormous amounts of power out of a 1.5 liter engine I figured it needs to breathe better. Most modern engines don’t run exhaust manifolds or headers and the runners are all cast into the head. The factory exhaust exit was 2.25” long and about 1” tall. There was no room to make it taller but I was able to make it 3.75” long. A new custom exhaust flange and we’re ready to go. An aluminum burr made quick work of opening it up.

I didn’t think of taking a picture until I was well into it. You can see on the left side my sharpie line for guidance.

This 1.5 came from a 2020 equinox and has a turbo from the factory. We ditched the turbo and added an m62 Eaton super charger and an overdrive pulley. We are shooting for 25 pounds of boost on E90 fuel.

Drug home another old K10 the other day but it was too cold to do anything. Today I had nothing going on (We do all our Family stiff on Xmas Eve) so figured Id give it a once over and real test drive...

The truck was built by a guy in MT and then a young guy ( That had no business doing even an oil change it seems..) in Idaho ended up with it.
I think the origional builder did a decent job but the 2nd owner should take his tool set back to Walmart.
I bought it cheap enough that I kinda thought I may just steal all the parts I want and part or sell the roller....
Besides the actual truck it came with a truck bed full of good parts I can use.

It has a 6.0/4l80/241 swapped in it already.
The axles were gone through and re-geared with rear disc brakes, and has new built front and rear drive lines. All of the major stuff had receipts from the initial owner in MT.

I took it out for a 20-30 mile test drive and it actually runs and drives pretty good. I was shocked. I kinda thought it may be a mess.

I did find some amusing things though...

Custom brake lines routing and prop valve at the master.

Yes, kinda hard to see in the pic but that is the stock prop valve floating in air down on the frame still. Yes, its still plumbed in..lol

I noticed it got a bit warm on the freeway but at idle it came righ back down.
The fans arent great but look like they should be OK on that large of a radiator. I could hear them running and reached down to feel the airflow and of course they are wired as pushers...lol And instead of letting the ecm control them they are wired to come on with the key switch.

Found like 15 more little things as well like the 241 has a cable shifter but its mounted so far back the stick is smashed into the seat to get 2hi and the silly race car shifter setup wont get into park or 1 ( I think its a 3 speed shifter) but at least it had reverse and drive so I could take it for a cruise...lol

Not sure how much work is gonna get done soon with the cold weather and my garage already full but I may just fix all the garbage and drive it. Im not a fan of the color choice but its a decent looking truck and I could probably double my $$ with it the way it sits.
Or, The drivetrain will get stolen for another one...lol
