The garage may never be the same
Please don't show my wife that... it's beautiful, but I don't need another project.
My wife is already on this track and wants this done over the summer.

Previous home owner had a mix of weeds and lava rock here. Been scooping for days and have filled my trash can a few times to the point I can barely move it. Picked up some scrap strap from my supplier to use as edging and pounded it in today. Tack welded it all together too to stay in place.

The wife said we need to have a shop-warming party. Sounds like my kind of party!

We should kidnap this rig and break in your shop :D

My wife wanted the garage door to be updated, since its an odd size replacing the door was prohibitively expensive. I should have gotten a before picture, but the door was just an off-white.

This was kinda a neat process. You apply a light wood colored based coat, I used "Fine Sand" with a crappy old brush with stiff bristles to leave a bit of graining effect. Then you use a gel stain over the top of it and it creates this look. I'm rather pleased with how it turned out.
