Yes. Blows me away at what is sitting in those deep narrow runs. We caught a couple of big suckers too.

First catch of the summer at Pineview, smally just under 16", didn't have a scale. Definitely one of the better bass I've caught there.

We went out for smallies last Saturday and had no bites at all. Maybe it was the 50+ mph winds the day before. Weird.

It's big bug season and the weather has cooperated a couple of times.

Caught my personal best smallmouth this afternoon, twice. They were almost identical at ~18.5" and 3.25lb each. Lost a third at the boat that was just a tad smaller.

Nice fish! What lake?

Thanks @N-Smooth. Pineview Reservoir. Yesterday the water was at 58deg, so it's starting to warm up enough that they're definitely more active than a couple weeks ago.

I guess the electronics were a good move! I'm happy for you, that's great.

If you fly fish in Idaho last week was a good time to be out. The fishing was fantastic.

Many big browns and cutties. They were fatty's too.


Then.........................I quit paying attention and sunk the boat, like not good. Here are some good samaritans helping us empty the water after we drug it to the bank. We were fine minus some fishing stuff and a really expensive rod/reel but someone saw us floating down without a boat and called the search and rescue. We met them near the launch while rowing back to the truck and trailer. It was pretty funny by then.


Now I can't get the motor running right again. It's not hydrolocked or corroded but it won't idle. I'll keep working on it. Ideas?
