APEX Power Steering Boost Kit and Cooler

I was wondering if anyone has installed it and found it is worth it. I did "Top of the World" in Moab over July 4th in my new Jeep 392. I figured out two things First, the 392's power is going to take some time to get used to off road and second the power steering hot light came on twice.

The first time it came on we stopped and let it sit for 15 minutes and it went out. The second time I ignored for a few minutes and we got done with the trail so I wasn't working the steering as hard and it went out.

The Boost Kit comes with a power steering cooler. I'm wondering if it is worth the money. It's only $385 but the install takes up to almost a grand. I hate to spend all that money and not have it work.

So any ideas?

I know nothing of this particular kit but for sure a power steering cooler is worth doing.
I've got a late 90s Ford Explorer transmission cooler plumbed in the return on mine and it helps a lot.
Any added capacity and cooling will help when you're shoving around a big tire for sure .

That was kinda my thinking. It definitely can't hurt other than my wallet....
We have had overheating issues even with the cooler on the apex kit. if your only looking to keep temps down and your happy with the steering output then just add a cheap cooler to your system.

Something like this will be infinitely better than any of the so called power steering coolers being sold. use the biggest plumbing you can.
I don't know about that kit but the cooler they are selling is overpriced and certainly of questionable value.
I love that there is a sensor for PS fluid temp in your new Jeep. I have considered installing a gauge on mine just for piece of mind.
