Seriously if you have access to a brake they would be really easy to duplicate. If I had realized how simple they were I would have made my own.
I probably will at least a little bit. But I've also got an idea to turn the battery and run the fuse box in between the battery and the engine. Just to tight everything up to the firewall.
Well it was @Hickey idea so I can't take full credit.

Well after having battery and starter woes and not being able to get the Jeep started I went back to working on the hood again. Got the hood latches installed and put the trim on the edge of the hood where the cuts were made.....
I now get to see how not straight my original cuts were and then debate whether or not I care enough to spend the time straightening them..... spoiler alert, I don't, aerodynamics are for speed nerds and I have bigger problems to deal with.

And here is the hood pins I used. Forgot to take an inside the engine bay pic but you get the idea. There are two very conveniently located holes in the top of the grill sheet metal that fit the bolts for the hood pins almost exactly. So that easily decided where I wanted them to be.

These are a way sleeker look than the set I got from Poly Performance. Internet lore told me that they gum up being in dirty environments. I’ll be curious of your long term review. If good, I’ll likely jump to these.

So today's the first time in a while I've been able to get working on this.
First in the menu was dealing with the starter trouble after I broke the old solenoid... Ended up just requiring a whole new starter but then she started right up once I got the battery charged, but now none of my gauges on the dash work.... So I get to chase those electrical gremlins that so love to bully me.
Next up was removing the old AC Compressor that I'm not using and putting on the shorter serpentine belt.

After that I got the bright idea to use that compressor mount for... you guessed it! A compressor... specifically my ARB Compressor that used to be mounted to the fender.

I had some sheet aluminum lying around so I figured that would be the perfect mount for this.
Measured everything out and cut out a square that I then drilled a bunch of holes in that are lined up enough....

Couldn't you drill that plate for a York?
I don't have a York. And don't have plans to install one.
I played with the idea of doing the AC Compressor to Air Compressor conversion but decided it wasn't worth the work and space it'd take up for what I need it to do. I'm in a space saving/clutter cutting mode for this jeep. Don't want to add more to it.

You already did 90% of tthe work. As far as space and clutter I don't see it. Cap the ends of the tube at the front frame rails for the reservoir. Something to consider in the future. I don't know how much you air up and down but engine driven is nice to have.
