Wanted Looking for a project

My 12 year old is really interested in anything motorized right now and so I'm looking for a cheap project that we can work on together and hopefully have something to be proud of when we are finished. I am not too particular on what it is but would prefer a vehicle over a motorcycle and my love for snowmobiles is at an all time low. I have a trailer with a winch and can travel to almost anywhere in Utah and maybe a little past. Let me know what you have and what you need for it. We are located in Sandy but travel to Price and Moab often.

Any interest in a Chevy tracker?

Early 2000’s, auto, 4 cyl 2.0, timing chain let go so would likely need a rebuilt head at minimum. It’s been sitting a few years, and definitely a project. It has no wheels or tires, but I could lend a set to help load it on a trailer. I’d like to get around $400 if you’re interested.

I have a two-year-old (I think) Pitster Pro 125 pit bike he can have for free—or anyone else if they want it. The caveat is that the air filter on it disintegrated awhile back, and it let enough sand inside to cause the throttle slide to stick in its bore. I took the carb off and cleaned it out, but there’s a good chance that some sand granules made their way all the way into the combustion chamber. It still runs ok and has decent punch, being a 125 on a smaller pit bike frame. Everything else on it is solid. Come get it, pull the head and maybe just hone the cylinder and go? Or just ride it as is and maybe you’re lucky and nothing got inside.

If he is not interested in your pit bike my son has been looking for one for cheap that he could put some time into. Let me know, I can run over and grab it whenever.
