Adding front locker

I picked up a 2024 Willy’s which now comes with the full width Dana 44 m220 front axles.

There’s an Eaton elocker available.

What local shops can I trust to install this ? one shop quoted me $1350 labor at 155 an hour. That feels like a lot for a single axle.

Is that the price of the locker and installation?

Impulse Offroad, they do them all the time.
I like impulse, but that was the original bid I got. $1350 labor over 9 hours. That might be fair I just don’t know shop rates. I figured a shop would be 4-6 hours to install on one axle.

Total cost was $3500 which included the locker. At that point I may just go with prorock44 with RCVs

Keep in mind they will be doing the bearings, setup and wiring.

I can get you hooked up for sure. Shoot me a private message and tomorrow when I get to the shop I can work you up a quote. But I can tell you right now that it will be significantly cheaper than that original quote you got.

You don’t need a full install kit just carrier bearings and any shop that does a lot of these will have the needed shims ready. What wiring kit are they selling you? The Eaton locker comes with the harness, switch and relay.
