Did you see Cody Webb is off Sherco after 5 years and winning King of the Motors and Tennessee Knockout this year. Announced he's riding a YZ250x for Yamaha.

I think it's a bike downgrade without 50 more cc's, 6th gear or e-start but *maybe* they'll get competitive with the Euro bikes.

It sounds like he'll run e-start, hydraulic clutch and a fan.
I am still trying to figure out why the owner of Factory 1 makes some of the decisions he does. In the year we were involved with him, he was not much of a "man of his word"

I did see he left to run a Yamaha, honestly good move on Yami to pick him up. Hopefully he can influence them in a good direction and develop some new stuff for the yzx. Kind of a wiff on Shercos part.

the only thing I am surprised on is that they cut him since he is a more prominent and more of a title contender than Cooper. Don’t get me wrong….Cooper is a great rider. Over the years of racing we have gotten to know him and his dad and done some riding with them, but if Shercos goal is to be on the box at hard enduros and endurocross next year it will be with Cody.

They have recently also let go of some of the support staff the we dealt with on the team, so I am sure it was all centered around financial reasons.

If Yamaha would put a steel frame and an E-start in a new YZ, you would see a lot less orange in the hills. Seems like a small amount of R&D to be a contender again for 20 more years.

Ok........now the WTF meter just went to a new level. Sherco, even with a bunch of work is in no way shape or form a motocross bike, let alone a arenacross bike. I can't understand why they are throwing money at a series where they have absolutely zero chance of winning let alone gaining any market share. Nobody is going to buy a Sherco because they saw a guy at an arenacross racing it.

Thanks for keeping me in mind. I saw that one and it did peak my interest! I’m in St. George atm getting ready to hit whatever my brothers friend throws at us today. My brother is on his well equipped 70* Berg. Me? I’m on a mostly stock 03 YZ250F—I’m so screwed haha!

Well the old YZ rocked in the technical shiz considering it’s an MX bike at heart. Me not so much haha. Jetting was off a bit and starting was a slight issue. I’ve taken e-start for granted—oof!

Went for a big loop with my brothers friend in lead. He’s a way cool dude I think he takes riding a little more serious than I do I’m beat but it felt good to push myself.

As for next bike? I dunno I’m gonna hold off for a bit until I can make up my mind.

I've been interested in trying out a steel frame yami since the aluminum frame feels terrible to me. Let me know when you get that bike all together, we can meet up at cub river or malad campground for a loop, you can try out my Sherco and be amazed at its girthy majesty.

Thanks fellas. Orange, I’d love to try the Sherco out sometime let’s do it 😎

As for colors I was dead set on rolling time back 10 years and going with a 1993 scheme—pink shock and all!

That said for now it’s gonna a stay blue. I’m gonna convert it to the latest YZ plastics to give it a modern look (needs plastic in a bad way) but I mostly want to focus on the nuts and bolts.

Suspension should probably come first. Any recommendations? I was thinking Pro-Action I’ve used them in the past and been super happy. Spring rates are almost dead on for my weight but the MX valving needs to go.

My father in law has used Brockstar on several of his bikes and really enjoys the work he does, we had my wifes 150 xcw lowered by Brock and it turned out good, she enjoys it. He was fairly affordable and in Cache valley.
