Did you know that EVERY single railroad grade crossing in the United States is affixed with a blue sign with a unique ID and an emergency phone number?
If you become stranded (or someone else does), or you see something wrong at a railroad crossing, call the posted number on the blue signs and provide the operator the crossing ID and tell them the issue FIRST!
NEXT, call 911 to report the incident. Don't assume someone else already called. EVERY SECOND COUNTS!
