just changed out my power steering pump saginaw, works great turning to the left super smooth and effortless, however when I turn the wheels to the right seems to take a lot more effort to turn. Any ideas? power steering is on a 70 bronco
So took out the H block ran the fronts direct and put an adjustable proportioning valve in the rear line. So is it necessary to bench bleed the MC? Thought I had the brakes bled well but I seem to have a very soft pedal and very weak brakes. Could I just continue to bleed and bleed the brakes...
So after the install of 1 ton axles under my bronco I cant seem to get rid of rear tire lock up. bought a adjustable proportioning valve to install on the rear brake line. Where are people installing these? Right after the master cylinder before the distribution h block or after? thanks
What to do? I have a 4 barrel edelbrock 1405 that seems to be worthless offroad. Has the "offroad kit" and all it does is flood out and I spend all day riding the clutch to keep the engine rpm's up so it wont stall over every little bump or change in angle. Is there a fix? Don't have the...
What to do? Running a 89 dana 60 with Cage long arms on a 70 Bronco. Left the axles full width, but in order to center the axle under the rig it left about an inch of clearance between the drivers side radius arm and the differential yoke. Under flex with the drivers stuffed the radius arm...
So I started out with driveline bind at the differential, added a tom woods off set u-joint which did amazing things for clearance. Now my issue is when I jack up the front end and let the wheels droop the driveline is binding at the tranfer case. Granted I can jack it up pretty far before this...
Need some help. In order to get my front Dana 60 centered under my Bronco it was shifted drivers side. Now when I went to put in the driveshaft it binds up on the Axle yoke when its rotated. The driveshaft is angled out towards the drivers side, the angle is not that bad since it was a high...
Replaced the steering on a dana 60 with highsteer arms and heim joints all around. Vehicle pulls to the right how do i adjust this?? Assuming I would loosen the passenger joint and take up the slack on the drivers side joint on the tie rod. Thanks for the info..
Recently had a dana 60 with Detroit placed in the front of my Bronco and the passenger Warn Hub is extremely difficult to turn, and when its locked out it will actually spin halfway between free and lock while driving down the road. Truck seems to pull a bit to the left as well. The axle was...
Just put in a new power brake booster, master cylinder and lines and notice some brake fluid leaking out of the MC around the threads of the lines. Are people lining the threads with anything to prevent leaks?
So Dana 60's are in the process of going under my 1970 Bronco. I only have the manual brakes now, no assist. What are peoples recommendations? Do you think one of the power brake kits from one the Bronco companies will provide enough stopping power? What are other people running?
Thanks for...
What do you think when it comes to wheels. Proably wont be adding beadlocks to the steel wheels so thats not a big factor. I do worry about the alumminum not holding up to abuse. Any one shed some interesting light on this before I make a purchase
Looking for peoples input on what locker to put into a front Dana 60. Detroit, OX, ARB, everything I read online never really gives any clear input only bias remarks about what they run or what their friend had fall apart. Thanks for the info..
I am looking at putting a Dana 60 under a 1970 Ford Bronco. Front suspension is Coils and Radius arms. Would like to keep axle full width, just having trouble finding what will work. 1978 and 79 60's sound like the best application as the drivers side "short" is longer than the newer 60's...
I am looking at getting a full cage built for a 70 Ford Bronco. Have any recommendations on shops in the Salt Lake or Ogden area. I live in Boise and there are only 2 shops that build cages and they want top dollar.. Any info on shops in Utah is helpful.
Does anyone know the measurements of the drivers side axle tube for the 78-79 dana 60. I have found one on the internet and the owner is not aware of what it came out of. Only knows its a HP60 thinking from mid 70's to early 80's. Since I am wanting this to go under a 70 Bronco I need to make...
I have a 70 Bronco that I am wanting to put Dana 60's under. Anyone done this or have any advice?? I can get my hands on a rear Dana 60 from a E350 Van, just need to track down a front..
