It's been a while. I've been waiting on this so I can mock up the engine placement. Built to factory size, LS inlet/outlet, Steam port, 2 speed fan with shroud and transmission cooler, if I should decide to use it.

I ran exactly, what you're wanting to build, in my CJ5. Dana 60 from a late 60's ford 1/2 ton. Many referred to them as super 44s because the ring and pinion was dana 60 but they were a semi float with shafts the size of a Dana 44 and 5 on 5.5 lug pattern. Width was about 60". I upgraded them...

I was just checking that out about 15 min ago. Trying to decide if any of the parts were better than mine... and if I could come out ahead since it comes with a trailer.

I'd check youtube and see if Richard Holdener has done any tests on the 6.2. I've been watching him a lot as try to figure out what I want to do with the 5.3 for my '49 GMC. I like his tests and reviews. I'm with you, not looking to squeeze out the last little bit in the high rpms.

I could probably use the tach. Not sure if mine went bad or if it's something with the LS computer/harness. I had it working and now it doesn't. I'll PM you to figure out where/when.
