Marc Bryson lazy "build" -JT Gladiator Rubicon

Nope. Ground from the unit itself. I kept trying to ground it to or through different points or wires on the jeep. Finally worked when I went directly to the battery. You may have already know or done that. It took me a long time to figure that out. I don't know what my range is, but it works a...

Marc Bryson lazy "build" -JT Gladiator Rubicon

I'm not sure how you're wired, but I didn't have any luck with my CB until I wired the ground directly to the battery. Looks like a fun trip.

    Your Pic of The Day

We did not jump through it. My niece and her boyfriend jumped off the front side, not through the hole. It was at least 50'. I didn't like the angle of the jump through it and I chickened out from jumping at all. I guess I'm getting old...

1980 Jeep CJ5; Back to the beginning

Yes, you can. However the clutch discs you will find for the sm420 will only contact about 2/3 of the newer flywheel. The center hole is dished out too much. It seems that many run it that way with no problem. I debated going that route but ended up buying a flywheel specific to the LS...

1980 Jeep CJ5; Back to the beginning

However, if you go LS, you won't be able to use it. You'll need the 168 tooth flywheel and it won't fit in that bellhousing. I got lucky and came across an old Lakewood SBC to T-18 (and other) conversion bellhousing for cheap, that would accept the 168 tooth flywheel. When I ran my old TBI...

1980 Jeep CJ5; Back to the beginning

You should have kept the bellhousing to adapt to a manual transmission... I have one if you need it.

Joined the TJ club, lets build it real quick! LS/tons/dblr/stretch

I like that name. I kind of refer to mine as the OJ. Obviously the color, but also that it's not a CJ, not a YJ and not a TJ. However it barrows parts/technology from all three. Oh, and I like your color choice.😉

GMC / Chevy Getting a 1969 Chevy K20 back on the road

They actually look better than I thought they would. I think white might be cool. Kind of a modern spin on the old white wagon wheels.

Trip Report Hanging Tree RME Run

The Waterfall is always fun. The Maxxis and Nitto tires, along with with some excellent driving, seemed to be the right combination. Glen almost crawled on his first attempt and made it look easy on the next. Kevin rides the Rev limiter. Greg catches some air. Jeremy makes sure he gets...
