    Suzuki XL-7 build- “XL7-UP”

The plate arms were hacked and repaired one too many times, so I started fresh. The plate arms will continue to be a pet project with the hope I can one day make them work without looking all ghetto. DOM courtesy of the roll cage Vonski gave me! I also reworked the jig. Now, the bushing cups...

I’ll take them, if Hickey isn’t dead set on taking them before me! PM sent

    Anyone used Steel-It?

Wanna sell them? I was going to order some. I don’t care what color it is for my application.

    Today I Want This....

I can only assume it makes him sad it’s built off an RZR instead of a Can-Am.

Somebody did a good job on this! I wasn't expecting to see a full sami dash still in it!

    Anyone used Steel-It?

Is anybody aware of a new Steel it alternative? I was thinking I saw something recently where the can had a sort of graffiti look to it, and was around half of Steel it price, but I can’t seem to find it now. Edit: found it, alloy armor. I swear they were hocking it as an affordable...

    Today I Want This....

If you don't buy it, somebody should talk Matt into buying it and turning it into a Banana high top.

    Today I Want This....

I mean, $1200 for an XJ in that shape in general would be decent in my opinion. I've only seen a couple of these ever also. Somebody should try hacking the top and making a boat top comanche!

    Today I Want This....

I wondered why the neighbors kept shutting their blinds when I was working on it!

    Today I Want This....

Somebody needs to go buy this and do a build on it. If I wasn’t balls deep on my non-running Suzuki, I’d probably be all over this.

It’s an absolute travesty we don’t get the VW transporters in the states.

    GFCI outlet in garage

Technically by NEC it’s required. You could call your local jurisdiction though to see if there’s any exemption. Honestly if it were me, I would just swap outlets to a standard non GFCI outlet. But, that’s me. Curious how you like that window AC? I’m assuming it’s pretty quiet?

What charger and cam are you running? I’d love to get a blower on my Yukon, eventually.

    Suzuki XL-7 build- “XL7-UP”

Thoughts on this rear bumper I slapped together? Still needs caps and plates, etc. I feel like it looks kinda out of place but can’t quite figure out where I went wrong.. I still need to bring it down in the middle so to speak too for the receiver.

    Massimo 12v fridge

Depends on the unit, 134a is becoming less common, but still around. R-290 (propane) and R-600a (isobutane) are becoming more prevalent in mini fridges and in micro systems. US law just increased the max charge for these flammable refrigerants, previously 6 ounces or less was maximum, now you...

    Massimo 12v fridge

The compressors themselves are sealed units. If you cut it open, you’ll lose your refrigerant charge. My recommendation is to just send it til it dies, and get a new fridge.

    Massimo 12v fridge

On most small hermetic compressors, the motor is suspended on 4 springs to the bottom so it has some give. It just sits there though from gravity on some pins to keep it in place. Over time, they can get knocked off from shaking, hits, etc. I believe the Dometic produced compressors are...

What did you work on Today; Home Edition

Very interesting! I’ve never seen a micro switch to indicate draft on a blower, must be specific to RV stuff. Residential uses a pressure switch via a diaphragm. These little parts are very temperamental with dust and water moisture on HVAC systems. I’d recommend getting a spare to keep on board!
