4l60e transmission shifter gear selector rusted

The range sensor selector shaft does look pretty rough from the 1/4" you can see below the nut. The cable bracket itself just looks a little rusty, could be cleaned up with a wire wheel and some spray paint. The selector shaft can be replaced without a full rebuild, but you still have to pull...

The “200 sq ft” max “shed” build

This may have gotten more expensive and time consuming quick. But after seeing the neighbor around the block have to rip out their front porch addition to rebuild it with a permit and by code, I feel like I can’t afford to take a risk. Had a good 30 minute convo with the guy in charge and he...

Found on Facebook. $500 seems excessive.

    Suzuki XL-7 build- “XL7-UP”

Been fighting these dang Tacoma coils for far too long, making adjustments and testing. Finally was able to get the coil to seat. At full droop, the coil physically can’t fall out without grabbing a pry bar to pop it out, that’s right about perfect for what I’m going for. Just working on getting...

    Budget offroad trailer build

I know! I found his links from Pirate, but they were all dead. I was hoping to shorten this to use for my Suzuki (eventually), but I might just try to sell it to make a few dollhairs I can put towards a narrow track 44 and keep that on hand for the future.

    Budget offroad trailer build

Nah, it’s the ‘80’s full size dodge ram charger/w150 unit. It is indeed a pass drop 44, but wider than waggy. I was asking on here about it like a week ago. I just haven’t unloaded it from my trailer yet. For some dang reason I can’t seem to find any solid info on this particular axle. Tons of...

    Budget offroad trailer build

I honestly didn’t think I’d even do anymore with this project this summer because I got so much on my plate, and haven’t been able to score a cheap or free trailer anywhere. Until today. Managed to snag somebody’s abandoned project. Has some sort of FWD rear beam axle. Frame is 3”x3”x1/8” wall...

    Suzuki XL-7 build- “XL7-UP”

Passenger side CV is a stub type, drivers side is a flange. Pulled the CV, chopped it, had it machined at work, and will weld a plate on to be able to run equal length flanged shafts.

04 LJ Ls swap with GM NP241C/4L60E

I watched hours upon hours of videos when I built my Astro setup that showed how there is multiple variations within each manufacturer. Some GM’s had the wide chain, some didn’t, same with Jeep. Some have the extra planetary gears, some don’t. You really don’t know until you open it up...

04 LJ Ls swap with GM NP241C/4L60E

Looking at the JB Conversions stuff, it shows that their SYE kits are compatible with all 231 variations. Plus, it bolts right up to the GM transmission since that's what it's factory mated to. You can just use a clocking ring if you really want to drop it.

04 LJ Ls swap with GM NP241C/4L60E

You could run a 231C transfercase as well fairly easily. I had one in my Astro, bolted up to my 4l60E. No need for an adapter with the right unit. It came out of a mid 90's S10 Blazer. I had then used a Jeep liberty cable floor shifter for it. I believe there's a couple different variations in...

The “200 sq ft” max “shed” build

Preparing to pour my footings! I’ve calculated I need about a yard and a half or less to pour a 12” tall by 4” wide footing. Only going about 6” below grade. Once I get the whole thing assembled, I will pour the interior slab later when my dad comes to visit, as he did concrete for years and can...

    Rebuilding a 2016 Beta 300RR

You're probably right. I was under the impression they were not legal on a federal level since the 90's.

    Rebuilding a 2016 Beta 300RR

Love Betas! My brother had his 2018 300rr street legalized, not as an off-road vehicle, but as a legit street motorcycle. DMV seemed to miss the little part about it being two stroke 😂

Wow, that’s a painful read. The only thing they probably got correct is the year.

Is it ok to have a "make light of" thread?

I wanted to sound knowledged, so I did a quick google of what the most expensive illicit drug is (I suspected cocaine, although I will admit I’ve never once tried a Columbian snow ball) and one single source I found said coke remains the most expensive drug.

When you have cocaine tastes on a meth budget.
