    New Tent Options?

My little brother has one of these and I can set up a springbar, get all my gear setup, make a fire and halfway cook dinner before he gets it set up. They are a nice quality tent but I don’t know if I could get 2 of my cots in it.

    New Tent Options?

I have also thought heavily about a RTT, I even thought about becoming a Tepui dealer. The downside for me on a RTT is not having a base camp, we camped with friends in Moab last year and every day they had to close up their RTT to go anywhere. I really like my Springbars, the only downside to...

    New Tent Options?

I want to pick up a larger tent this spring that will fit 2 large cots and gear for camping more than a weekend. I have 2 springbar outfitter 3 tents and they have been great so I was thinking about just picking up a 4 or 6 man springbar. I was also thinking about other options, I don’t want a...

    Vintage camping gear

I’m pretty damn old and I was 6 when this tent was made. :D That’s about all I have found on it, I have seen a couple sale ads for it that were 10 or so years old. The cool thing is this is a tent that weighs 4.5lbs that is 40 years old and is waterproof...ish

    Vintage camping gear

I picked up a vintage backpacking tent this weekend. I was told that he paid about $400 for it in 1979, it is a Gortex then with fiberglass poles. I set it up without tent pegs or lines out just to see it. I haven’t been able to find this exact tent on line. Anyone have any vintage gear they...

Factory Five's '35 Ford Hot Rod Truck

Thumbing through old stuff and saw this. My brother in law bought one of the first kits released and is still waiting on parts. He is building it with a friend and its going slow but they did just drop in the engine last weekend. He went with all the options on it, power windows, a/c, electric...

Awesome read on why a gun free America will never happen by force

It has some language and is a little long but worth the read https://monsterhunternation.com/2018/11/19/the-2nd-amendment-is-obsolete-says-congressman-who-wants-to-nuke-omaha/?fbclid=IwAR38yT5AiLLDGC_Gfhg9FVS96VBWRVzZvFLu5tizXxzt1LqWTIWgEzbD7a0

    Why are people so stupid?

Ok, I start off by bitching avbout SXS and then when I m coming off a 50" gated trail yesterday in my 50" SXS I see truck tracks in the flats past where the gate is. I know what the vehicle was because he let me pass him before the gate on my way in, Because he saw me and I would bet if I...

Should I install an electrical sub panel or expand my existing?

I use the breakers as master shutoffs, it’s the best way to insure kids from playing with machines. Kids are usually scared of breakers. You need to THHN in any conduit per code, running a nomex can create extra heat in the wire.

    Why are people so stupid?

It happens in all aspects of off-roading. SXS vehicles are just more available, I’ve seen very capable high dollar rock crawlers take lines up obstacles that were 50’ from the trail just because they were more challenging. I’ve seen 2 buggies tear up Pritchett canyon while screwing around and...

    Why are people so stupid?

I've been doing a lot of thinking about this for the last few days. I would love to see required education to all off road users, but at the same time i hate the thought of added regulations. I used to enjoy the quarterly training days that we used to put on, I think that something like that...

    I finally gave in...

I got bored the other day and decided to put the bender to work. I just built off the 2 factory bars and added some competition engineering tube clamps so I could remove the bumper without having to take the whole front end off. Pretty happy with how it went, now to build the rear bumper.

    Why are people so stupid?

Why is it so hard for people to understand that it is their responsibility to insure a trails is legal for use? I see this way to often with SXS people, how do these people function day to day. Do they need signes saying not to rob banks and shoot random people? IDIOTS Lynn Batterman 4 hrs...

    Coyote problem

Any updates on this Greg? I agree with Dave, if you have Coyotes anywhere near you then you would hear them for sure. I've always thought cats would be great Coyote bait. The only way to eradicate coyotes it to remove their major food sources, they are great scavengers and opportunists, but when...

    I finally gave in...

It has a heat shield below the floor, it does get warm in my box but not too bad. I would think if it didn't have the box it wouldn't get warm at all.

Eastwood Mig Welder and Plasma Cutter long term review

Well, its been a couple years and these are still working great! The duty cycle on the welder is unreal, I have never been able to weld long enough to have any issues. I have welded everything from crazy thin stainless to 3/8" plate and it doesn't miss a beat.

I would think they would. We fit $130 worth (full shopping cart) of groceries in the back, including a 24 pack of diet coke and a case of water.

    I finally gave in...

I had a chance today to ride a couple black diamond trails and am very happy with my choice. The first trail I stopped riding on my 4wheeler because it was hard to keep the front end down on the climbs. The Maverick Trail just walked up them, I didn’t have any issues with ground clearance and...
