Just admiring all 123 horsepower in this beast. Changing out some gaskets and sensor stuff, mocking up some inner fender stuff so I can get things painted.
Was up wrestling the front end around, installing welting, going to have to mess with the front fenders and hood a bit more to get all the gaps right.
Here you can see some of the flaws in the clear coat, seemed to do this everywhere the clear got runs, solvent popping not clearing out...
Thanks, it certainly takes patience, time, money still but hopefully all worth it in the end. I hate bodywork I decided, so tedious.
Also while I'm thinking about it and these trucks being designed off the 39 coupes.
This is a good book for some knowledge about these trucks.

These use the same grille as the standard coupes, didn't seem right with the all chrome one, wait till we start bolting on the detail stuff. Also using the chrome coupe deluxe headlight bezels, trucks had painted ones.
I too have a throwaway 2011 Sorento, V6, SX, AWD, does what I need it to do and get me around. Been daily driving it 4-5 years now, have done struts, bushings and alternator. Think I'm around 164k.
Current stock is being handed out to family and I'm sure a few others, There will be much socializing going on next year so maybe have some items then?
Been too focused on truck project lately, haven't touched the Jeep for a minute, finished mocking up rocker guards, still need to get a different overflow bottle, get a new tailgate then maybe I can take all this stuff off and paint it. Also need to change out the 02 sensor, fuel pump and check...
I've never heard anyone say this and certainly not apologizing, just acknowledging it's got a few flaws, we are aware of them all, I personally could care less, I'm beyond grateful and happy with how it is all turning out, it is much more than just a truck, I've spent more time with my brother...
Thank you, it's certainly not without flaws, that's also came with lessons, we are not a shop, just a family with a hobby? My brother gets credit for the bulk of this, I imagine most people will only see the truck as a whole and not see the flaws? Guess we'll see how my vision of how I wanted...
