General Tech Simple wiring kit for Taurus fan?

it's just a digital on/off solid state relay. You can give it a PWM signal, or just use a switch.

    I Want A Drone

Those kind of drones are dum, get an FPV drone. I got into FPV this summer and it's a ton of fun. Start with a tinywhoop that will fly indoor and outdoor, the ones that dont suck are fun as hell, like this one...

General Tech Simple wiring kit for Taurus fan?

Here's what I'm running on my wrangler. My fan was dying so I got a new one from the junk yard. I also saw this module and knew it was a PWM controller and how to hook it up. So I test it in the junkyard and sure enough it handles the fans 70+ amp startup draw (60 amp running) just fine. If any...

    Coronavirus

Does anybody remember when 2000 deaths was normal during ANY week of flu season EVER. Well great news, that number has dropped to 2. Oh but wait, those same old people are dying from covid now. Lock everything down! How the hell are people still falling for this nonsense?

Anyone who still believes covid is actually the dire threat the media screams that it is, is truly a lost cause.

    "Forced induction" for the V10 3V ???

A fart fan in a tube isn't going to do anything at all. Zero boost. Those things are well known gimmicks and scams. At $1500 this is a scam. To make 3 or 4 psi of boost on a V8 you'd probably need a compressor that does like 30 horsepower ballpark (over 22 kilowatts, or 1600 amps from your...

    YJ Supercharger

So I looked at the specs on Boosted technologies' website. $50-$75 per hp... definitely not cheap and not very good performance either. My $200 ebay turbo costs about $10 per hp. My entire build was like a grand, but I did take the time to build it myself. Their lack of intercooler is a bit...

I just opened a Roth IRA, and am ready to invest in the stock market

Selling is like this weird paradox for me. My money in crypto and stocks is just money to play with. Lets say it goes up 5x; what am I going to do sell it and just not have an investment anymore? I'm just going to let it grow. It's all percentage based so the more you have invested the more it's...

    Tap and die set advice

Get sprial point taps. they have an angle ground into the 3 cutting flute edges that push the chips out the back of the (through) holes. They're strong, require less torque, and don't just plug up like garbage straight flute hand taps.

    Can we talk fab/fixture tables?

Here's a sweet CAD fab table I designed and got a couple of the other mechanical engineering students to help build last year as a small portion of our work on the SAE Baja capstone project at UVU. 3/8" thick top bolted down and precisely flattened with shims, all laser cut. ~430 holes tapped to...

    Building TURBO system for YJ

Yes, that's one thing I looked at. If this gasket dies I will buy one and take a die grinder to it. A couple of the holes have to be moved half a hole width over but it should work fine.

    Building TURBO system for YJ

Time for an upd8. The baro sensor from a few posts back was put in and has been working great. It's giving me .1kpa resolution, which is equal to 35ft elevation, so it can actually be used as an altimeter. Here is a datalog of showing a mile of elevation change driving over Imogene Pass...

    Fuel pressure testing?

There are 2 basic types of fuel systems. 1) Has a regulator on the fuel rail. The idea is it is maintaining a constant pressure ACROSS the injector. If the outlet end is at atmospheric pressure, then you need 58psi fuel at the inlet. If the outlet is under manifold vacuum, then you need less...
