If you did want a control similar to a 3-way in your house you could do the following.

You can do what you describe with just the 2 switches wired in parallel, keep in mind if ether switch is closed the circuit is complete but both switches will have to be open for the circuit to be off.

Are you wanting to be able to turn on and/or off from either switch like a 3-way switch in you house?

I believe they do but since State Safety Inspections went away there is no control/enforcement. There are cars trucks and motorcycles that are straight piped all over and they seem to get away with it. Cities just need to start enforcing noise ordnances on all vehicles.
