    Coyote Canyon! It's Time.

Just spoke with Katie at the BLM, they're receiving a lot of comments, both for and against. If we want to see this trail reopened, now is the time to do it, we'll never have another chance if this one fails. As Jeff said the comment period has been extended 21 days, "somebody" asked for a 30...

What overall gear ratio do you like to run?

I have an auto with 50 to 1 with a V8 and 40s, seems perfect to me, if anything it's sometimes too low.

Don't know what gears, they're whatever came stock. It tows good, a little slow going up steep grades, but not too bad. I've never done the math on mileage, but I'd guess 11-12 empty, 9-10 towing.

More lies from SUWA; Moab Brewery SUWA supporter??

Today at lunch, my wife and I went into the Moab Brewery to get to the bottom of what's going on. We spoke with Michael Miller, the general manager, and a friend of ours. He was aware of the radio ad, and had already been speaking extensively with his partner in Park City, Dave Sabey, who is the...

    Preventing Transmission Mount Breakage

I had been thinking about trying to redo a new design similar to the stock torque arm to help distribute load, yours sounds similar to what I was thinking. I think in the long run I'll need to go this route.

    Preventing Transmission Mount Breakage

I know that's what you said about running the same mounts, but it seems to me that the added rigidity of the MORE motor mounts would be more comparable to that of a polyurethane trans mount more so then a stock rubber trans mount. So not a chain over the transmission, what about a ratchet...

    Preventing Transmission Mount Breakage

At the Rock Crawl last weekend my transmission mount tore apart which enabled my transmission to come slamming down onto my skid plate and punched a hole in my transmission pan. So I have been trying to come up with ideas on how to minimize the chance of breaking a transmission mount, as I've...

    Old School Rock Crawl carnage?

Here's my list, on my first obstacle I broke a short side Dana 60 u-joint which took out the ears of both the inner and outer axle shafts. After begging and borrowing parts (thanks Casey and Jeff!), two obstacles later my transmission mount gave up the ghost causing my transmission pan to slam...
