Electric cooling fans, 88-98 Chevy, 34" radiator

Selling an electric cooling fan setup for 88-98 Chevy trucks with the 34" wide by 20" radiator. Should bolt right in with the brackets I made. Bolted into my truck anyway. Uses LT1 Camaro fans with a custom shroud. I put the engine driven fan back in when I decided to sell the truck. Here...

    Any Mtn Bikers on RME?

Haven't ridden Mag 7 yet but I had so much fun on Ahab and Hymasa last trip I can't decide. Maybe both if I'm feeling awesome.

    Any Mtn Bikers on RME?

I'm headed for Moab this weekend (October 9 through 12) if anyone wants to come along. We are renting a house which can sleep 12 in beds and more on the floor. I am hoping to leave Friday evening and return Monday evening. The plan is to shuttle the Whole Enchilada on Monday, hike/rock...

    G-Force 3" lap belts

I have a pair of G-Force 3" lap belts up for sale. They are expired and can no longer be used for competition, but are great for recreational use. They are around 60" long and are of the bolt in variety. Asking $40 or make me an offer. Text or call Jon at 801-636-6165

Building a custom fan shroud to cool my 454

The thermostat I pulled out of it was a 195° unit. I think that was part of my problem. I drilled a couple 3/32" holes in the new 180° unit, just to help bleed the air off and keep things flowing. It will warm up a little slower, but I will live with it. It's not like they're huge holes...

Building a custom fan shroud to cool my 454

Now I have a couple questions: Would it be a good idea to hole saw a couple large holes in the back of the shroud to allow more air to pass through when the fans are not running, i.e. freeway driving? Or would that make the shroud less effective when the fans are on? I'm just thinking that...

Building a custom fan shroud to cool my 454

So I got the shroud all bent up and the corners welded. I have to give a shout out to Creer Sheet Metal Works in Provo. They did some darn fine work and got it finished very quickly. I will definitely use them again if the need arises. I worked at the Ford dealer for a number of years and...

Building a custom fan shroud to cool my 454

First a little back story: I bought a 1995 K3500 four door long bed with a 454 and 4L80E. The previous owner had installed some LT1 Camaro dual electric cooling fans when the mechanical fan clutch went bad. Unfortunately, to get them to fit he trimmed the Camaro fan shroud down too far and it...

    Aluminum trailer

I know I'm a little late to the party, but for what it's worth: I did see an aluminum jet ski trailer abandoned on the side of the road near Deer Creek with the tongue completely torn off. I wasn't in a hurry so I stopped to check out the carnage and it looked a victim of fatigue. At least in...

Doubler, TH400, Klune, 350 Chevy Motor, NP205, Rockwell steering

If you have a TH400 and adapter, I'm interested in the Klune V. I pretty much need a whole Chevy drivetrain. PM me your number and I give you a call and see what we can work out.

What will the Klune V bolt to? I'm guessing a TH400? Are additional adapters required?

    fuel tank pressure

Just run a vent line to somewhere where it won't suck water or make you breathe gas fumes. If you want to be environmentally conscious, plumb in a charcoal canister and vent it to that. Vent the canister to ported vacuum on your throttle body, so it doesn't pull vacuum on it all the time.

    Late model Chev T-case questions

Now that I have my TBI 350 and 700R4 sold, I'm starting to try to put my 5.3/4L60E into my old Blazer. Since I'm retarded and don't think things through carefully, I finally noticed the new (97 and up) 4L60E's have a six bolt hex pattern instead of the 4 bolt setup all the old 700's and...

    Engine coolant recycling?

Is there any place in Utah County that will recycle or properly dispose of used anti-freeze? I've got about six gallons I need to do something with so I can start on my next project. Autozone was not helpful. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't really want to contribute to...

I know I know- I need to talk through this again

Throwing in a chevy 350 seems far too common a solution for the not enough power problem. Get some cool stuff from Hesco and build a wicked 4.7 liter I6. There is something kind of cool about trying to wring every last bit of performance out of a straight six. V8's are too cliche.

Building a cage; follow BITD guidelines?

It's time to build a cage for my Blazer, but I've been looking at the BITD rule book and according to the weight of my vehicle, I need to use 2" .120 wall DOM tubing for my main cage structure. Just about everything else seems to be built from 1.75". I'm probably not going to race it, but...

police lockdown by 5 mile pass

If doors weren't meant to be removed, the factory shouldn't have used bolts to put them on. Does anyone else find it humorous that Utah State law requires a front and rear license plate, but you can't fail a safety inspection for a missing front plate? That has "we want revenue" written...
