    Radio Flyer Project

It's not a competition Nate. ;) The wife and I are far from loaded, that's why I have to build things rather than just buy them. Unfortunately, my DIL's father passed away about 10 years ago so I will be the only grandfather our grandchild will have which actually puts a bit more pressure...

    Radio Flyer Project

As I am progressing along I have to keep making small "tweaks" to ensure the pieces stay perpendicular to one another so it doesn't get out of shape along the process. This is where the preliminary measurements and deciding on which side to make the cuts for the upper and lower rails paid...

    Radio Flyer Project

Some small blast tacks as progressing along the length of the frame horn. Once the exterior of the right side was tacked in place it was time to turn the attention to the inside of the right frame horn and continue tacking. Clamping and tacking along until I had tacks about every inch or so...

    Radio Flyer Project

Moving on to the front frame horns. The cardboard template transferred to some 14-gauge P&O, cut out on the vertical bandsaw, clamped together and then profiled all at once to ensure they all matched and were of the exact same profile. After profiling the clamps were removed to debur...

    Radio Flyer Project

I wasn't quite sure where to put this thread so I hope it's ok under the "cars" sub-category as I am kind of mimicking a car...... ;) My wife and I are about to welcome our first grandchild into the world and I remember building my son a custom Radio Flyer wagon when he was young, so I wanted...

General Tech What did you work on Today?

Agreed. I haven't found a corded polisher that can match my old Black & Decker. Now I will concede that I don't polish as much paint as I did 8+ years ago but that thing has polished a shit-ton of vehicles in its life and it just keeps going and takes on anything I throw at it.

General Tech What did you work on Today?

My thoughts, while I kind of like the smaller 3" cordless polisher, I am less than impressed with the larger 7" Milwaukee polisher. I am in the camp of preferring corded or air tools as they seem to be more of a buy once/cry once theory and I am less than enthusiastic about things in my shop...

General Tech What did you work on Today?

For the plastic door handles, fenders and mirrors I prefer to use Aerospace 303 Protectant. It doesn't have a long staying power, but it does bring them back to near OEM appearance and what I like most is that they aren't left with a greasy or oily film and most of all they don't attract...

General Tech What did you work on Today?

I didn't get much done over the weekend. I worked for only a couple of hours in the shop on Saturday morning and then the wife and I hopped in the truck and took a nice relaxing drive. I was able to get half of my doors done on the Jeep however. I have noticed that the passenger's side rear...

General Tech What did you work on Today?

Pffftttt.. Buying something is over-rated. Much better to build it regardless of what they go for as so much sub-standard products on the market these days. GREAT job! 👍

2 million miles, a cake, and not really a pay cut.

Congratulations on the 2M milestone. That is no easy accomplishment.

General Tech What did you work on Today?

Broke my own cardinal rule last night about not dumping ALL of the fuel from a transfer jug into the OPE. I'm running a bit low on fuel and have to get some more this weekend but arrived home last night and had to clear 4 inches from all the concrete and the snowblower tank was empty from the...

General Tech What did you work on Today?

Thank you. Not sure why it did that, I went in and marked it private and then back to pubic so there must have been a glitch somewhere. Sorry about that but thanks for letting me know. Car looks AWESOME!!!!
