    LS ECU

I need to look into the cost of HP Tuners. I'll have another one to do after this but that one will end up with some mods. I'm guessing it would still be cheaper to pay someone to do it. I really don't want to get into the tuning side of this. Yes, I plan on deleting the O2 sensors, EGR and...

    LS ECU

Who do you recommend for LS tuning? I need to remove VATS, emissions and whatever basic things. 5.3 truck engine - no mods. Hoping to find someone in the Salt Lake area.

    Lighten the mood

That happened to me.... About 3 years ago on I215. All of the sudden a tire came rolling across. Cars on both sides and behind me. All I could do was slow down a little and hold on. I was in my crew cab, long bed Ram 3500. The front end did go airborne. Almost $12000 in repair, including a new...

    Gawynz Manche Thread

Pretty sure it was this. They have a few colors to choose from. Duplicolor makes it too. You can get it at the auto parts stores. I'm surprised at how it has held up on sunvisors. Not sure how it will be on arm rests and things that get handled/used. Check this out! https://a.co/d/02AMWF8

I don't know what you plans are for the armrest and door handle but I had good results with vinly/fabric paint on some sun visors for my Jeep.

    Record Snow pack, floods next?

Cool pictures! I grabbed this one from that photo gallery because this is what I always think of. My mom took me and my brothers and sister downtown to see Return of the Jedi and the river for my Birthday on May 30 - which was also Memorial Day.

Everbody is doing it... '49 GMC 100 Build

While I was at it, the power rack also contacted the front factory crossmember so I decided to trim that down. The original engine used the crossmember as the front mount and the radiator mount. I trimmed out the old motor mount section but left the radiator mounting holes. This cleaned up the...

Everbody is doing it... '49 GMC 100 Build

Small progress this week. I test fit the power steering rack an noticed the boots just barely rubbed the frame. I don't think they would ever touch with normal driving. It may only be a problem if it were on air bags, aired all the way out. I decided to address it now, anyway. Cut a notch out of...

    Anyone near Colorado Springs?

He does not know of anyone. He did say Woodland Park area might be a good area to search for something. Bigger than Florrisant and might have more shops/mechanics. Have you searched for this type of service online? I know there are people that do it.

Threw the cab on and bolted on a fender to check placement of the front crossmember and make sure I was happy with how the wheel fit with the fenders before making it permanent. Looked good to me. This should be very close to ride height. The wheel and tire combination will definitely change...

    Antarctica Part One, landscapes.

What do 70 foot waves feel like on a ship like that? I spent a couple of years in Southern Argentina. Never made it to Ushuaia, but pretty close. Always wanted to and would love to go back.

I don't think the rear is going to ride as nice with my home made coilovers. 😉 The rears are on backorder but this allowed me to mock things up. The shafts are cut to length and i didn't get that far last night. I have 3.55 gears, a limited slip and sourced some disc brake hardware off a 2000...

Then, it was on to the rear. 4 bar with panhard here. I've been into crawlers for too long and keep doubting the size of the links. I have to remind myself I don't need the same articulation and won't be dragging them over rocks.
