I not only bought the Gates pump but the two radiator hoses. The lower hose was defective and showing the internal fabric right where the pump connects. I have now received refunds for both parts. Hopefully the third pump will do the trick.

My Commando has a passenger drop 241 from a Dodge with a chevy 241 input. This gets you a slip yoke eliminated 241. My Scrambler is now wearing an Atlas which works great but cost a lot more.

After seeing the leaks from both parts Occam would have to agree that both parts were bad or something is causing them to fail.

I have one of the block test kits and could also try the pressure test but I took the pump and radiator out making the tests difficult to do.

Spent the last two afternoons after work working on getting the transmission out of my grandson's heep. Discovered that the transfer case has a chain that sounds like it is hitting the case. The trans pan was full of sludge and the magnet looks like a chia pet. This thing never fails to disappoint.

I wrapped up repair on three Warn winches, the 8000s needed solenoids and the 9.5ti was Kurt's old winch that needed the bridge replaced. It turned out well enough that I am toying with putting it on my Scrambler and selling the 8274.

I thought the pictures made it look less than what it is.....

There are also a couple of spots where it has some small dings and a spot on the front hood where the family member put a tarp on it for the winter and the tarp or a bungee wore a hole through the paint. I was considering if it might be worth touching up some of the paint spots.

Here are some pictures, its dirty from the snow storm and needs a wash. It's very shiny and reflects everything. Very clean on the rust front.
