Ive got an 86 sami that runs rough when i drive on the freeway in the heavy rain or snow, it sputters and coughs a lot. I have a weber carb and a bosch ignition. where do i start checking on a problem like this? Anyone else have this issue before?:confused: :confused: :confused: :sick:

clutch works great, sami's are easy to work on because the parts are so small i lifted the transmission out with my hands and the job went smoothly!

I also ran equal in a set of tsl 33" and it wasn't very good either. My Buddy runs it in his pro comp mt 33" and it seems to work ok but it's in a cj that doesn't go much over 55 or so. I don't doubt that it works for some tires but i personally haven't had good luck with it in tsl's.

I have tried the equal in a couple sets of tires, in my personal opinion it doesn't work very well. I had a set of 36 tsl radials with equal and they were terrible, i ended up paying to have it sucked out and the tires normally balanced. In my opinion it is better to avoid equal because it...

Sweeeet sammy, did you notice a huge power difference with the 1.6 swap. I have an 86 with a gear reduction transfercase and 31 with a spoa on stock springs, just looking for more power!

Anybody done this swap? Is it worth the cost? is there much power difference from a carbed, cam, and webered 1.3?

One other question with this setup will i have axle issues, should i worry about breaking stuff or should i ditch the tires and wheels and do some a little more street friendly with the proper backspacing? Do you know anybody that would want the tires and wheels pretty cheap?

So i have heard, the problem is i have a set of brand new boggers and steel wheels with 3.5 inch of backspace that i am having some difficulty selling, what about wheel spacers to get to the same backspacing?

You need to remove the axle shafts completely before the third member can come out, if you have the nuts off and the drums off just pull the axles out a little ways, if not use a slide hammer on the drums across the four bolts and it should come right out
