    Auto VS Manual Trans

Manual all the way. It takes serious skill on some hardcore obstacles, but that's half the reason I love it; I love technical driving. In my opinion, for technical driving the worst option is an old clunky, slow shifting farm tractor transmission (T-18, etc.). The transmission needs to...

    Anyone have a beadroller?

The HF bead roller can easily be made pretty decent. Out of the box it's almost useless.

    VPN service provider?

Oh and all this includes smart phones, especially iPhones (nsa documents were leaked showing an unknown apple backdoor, etc). Any cell connected device can easily be tracked along with who's traveling with you, and data can be extracted from phones through 'faked' cell towers... this is part of...

    VPN service provider?

If anything using a VPN only puts you on some watchlist, like using TOR or similar. Just don't use the internet with an assumption of privacy or anonymity, because that does not exist. The NSA data center in Draper uses 65 megawatts of power continuously. Where do you think that power is going...

    Lexan Source

Lexan is just one of many brand names of polycarbonate. For some reason I seem to remember it running around $10/sq ft in 1/4" thick...

    VPN service provider?

Not all VPNs are created equal. Read the fine print. Many offer literally no true anonymity or file sharing concealment whatsoever, even if the authorities come knocking.

    Swing set options? Wood? Lifetime?

I bet KSL is full of these things that have only been used once.

    Backyard urban chickens

I figured it wasn't to save money, lol it seems like a hell of a lot of work just to save fiddy cents a day. I can appreciate the fresh food thing (even more so when talking about easier to deal with non-animal foods), but are store-bought eggs really full of junk? I googled the term 'organic...

    Backyard urban chickens

Has owning chickens become a fad? I really don't get it... So like 50 cents a day made then subtract paying for feed, invested time, actual real estate used, time and materials to make a coop, pissed off neighbors, and listening to noisy meat for the rest of your life? If you want a pet, why...

    Three way wire splice/connectors?

It's just like normal shrink tube but the hot glue seals it water tight. Normal shrink tube provides insulation but not the best water ingress protection.

    Three way wire splice/connectors?

I would only use hot melt adhesive lined shrink tube since it's going to be mounted under a jeep. Make your joint like Bryson pictured and slide on a piece of heatshrink from the left, and work 'right to left' for subsequent joints...

    Gluing plexi inside Uchannel

post picture of what you're working on. You could shim the acrylic to fit tightly in the channel and then rivit/bolt, but being acrylic drilling/bolting that close to the edge isn't the best idea. You might be able to just smash the u channel closed for a tight fit then silicone/epoxy it. I...

    Three way wire splice/connectors?

gooooooogle adjust lengths of the leads to the light as necissary, or just keep them short and snake the main +/- wires to hit each light location. The point being to just run a gnd wire along with the pwr wire you're running anyway, so you aren't trying to do a hundred chassis grounds into...

    Three way wire splice/connectors?

Daisy chain usually implies series. He's talking paralleled like (some) christmas lights. Which would work fine if the layout/routing worked.

    Three way wire splice/connectors?

More failure points. All it takes is a loose screw or some rust and you'll get a bunch of intermittent failures that are hard to track down. It's also harder to install and takes longer since you now have to clean metal and drill holes etc. I don't think it's worth it in this situation where you...

    Three way wire splice/connectors?

This is a recipe for disaster.... There's no reason to not just run a ground wire along with the existing power wire... If you take measurements of where you want to route the main branch and where each led comes off of that, you can make the entire thing on the bench and solder/heatshrink/loom...
