black boogers are a bad bad sign... aluminum oxide grinding dust is seriously bad stuff to get in your lungs. If you've ever done any grinding areas with direct sunlight and hard shadows you'll have noticed how the air is just churning with all sorts of dust. Pretty crazy, always use a mask.

I forgot to add the cheapie facemask... wearing safety glasses and/or faceshield, ear plugs/muffs, a facemask, and gloves really does make grinding MUCH more tolerable. When you're missing any one of these it really does suck. Earbuds under the ear muffs is a good way to go, a few songs later...
