I would just make it work I was thinking on using the orig TB and just drill, tap and plug stuff to make it work. I would even use the 1989 fuel injectors and possibily fuel rail (if it bolts up). I know a newer TB would flow better but one GREMLIN (I'm funny huh?) at a time is all I need to...

I like everyone else that own a 4.0 Cherokee has heard that if you put a 2000 or newer intake on your ride that you can get 25+ extra HP, blah, blah, blah. I have never talked to anyone that has done it, so has anyone done it and did it help? Just wondering?
