Are you using high steer arms that replace the spring setup on the top? I used that type of arm and they were pretty tight. I had to shim things to loosen it up a bit.

put disc brakes on the 14 bolt and then put the e-brake setup on the output of the t-case. I think AllPro makes a kit for toyota's. That linkage would work just fine. I bet you could get away with the link being 4-5" long. The pull on the e-brake cable shouldn't need to be more than an inch...
