^^^^ If you use the correct amount of RTV and it still leaks--forget about gear oil and run extra thick clay-based grease so it can't leak out.

Just remember: axles need to breath just like we do. The only other thing I have seen cause this (besides what has been mentioned) is way too much gear oil. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should fill your axle through the breather. :D I highly doubt that's the problem, but ya...
