I need more wheeling pictures and less build pictures but until I get some here is the windshield.

It has been really cold and I wanted to drive so I installed the heater. I also started on a back seat. I looked at buying one but nothing was narrow enough so I decided to do a simple bench seat. I also ordered a piece of lexan for a windshield. Hopefully I can drive it around soon.

Made it out to Billings trail. Everything actually worked really well. I needed to trim the fenders more. I couldn't use the rear steer much because they needed alot more cutting. But it ran great. It was really stable. I had my better half drive part of the trail.

Anybody want to go wheeling this weekend? I am going to junction and was thinking about doing Billings or something on Sunday. I mounted up my winch and put on my skidplate. I also switched out my ARB pump for a dual pump. That thing is sweet. It airs up a 42 in no time.

A few pics with the panels on. This weekend marks the 5 month mark on the build. I have been driving it around town and I am really enjoying it.

I do too. I definitely get a ton of looks and comments the little bit that I have taken33 it out. Almost everyone asks "Is that really a Scout"? And that's with no panels on it. Hopefully I can get panels on it in the next week or so. Everything is working great except my fuel pump. I think I...

I had the uhmw on my last rig. I did like it. This rig just has more voids under the belly. I'll run the T-1 skidplate and i may put a thin layer of uhmw over it, but I'll run this first. Also I got the console mostly sorted out. I have to have my cup holders. Haha

Wheeling went great today. No issues except it wasn't charging quite right. But the rug dud great! I couldn't be happier. I'll go through it this week and make sure everything stayed tight and assemble it for good.

Finally took it for a spin. I love the cam and torque converter. It really rips. Everything feels good. I took it up to about 45 or so. Went to the parts store. My speedo said I was going 120 so I think I might have an issue there.haha Flexed it out a bit too. It could go farther. It was super...

I do too. I would like to do a small stinger for in case I go over but I like how it looks now. I don't want to wreck the front if I do roll.

That's what I'm thinking. I had some people tell me that I built such a nice buggy, I should paint it. I like the patina, rat rod kinda look, on a nice chassis. I think it looks good....

Body work to narrow the front. I don't do much body work so I'm kind of figuring out as I go. Mostly I learn from TV shows. Still happy with it so far.

Thanks. I am really happy with the progress. I am a little over 4 months including tear down. I also tore down and parted my 4runner and my Scout II for parts and sold the rest. I was hoping for being able to wheel it Thanksgiving. I could probably take it out this weekend if it stops raining...

One guy I talked to said he hated cutting up something that they don't make anymore. I see that, but it sat in a yard for 15 years and didn't move. I think it's better to turn into something that gets used and enjoys instead of an eyesore. Now his yard looks better and my garage looks alot better?

Thanks. Here is the rear. I know the purest don't love me cutting up and swapping out the drivetrain. I am trying to keep a few details that are scout. I'll make the Tailgate open similar to the original. I'll make a little cubby for carrying a tool bag.

I couldn't resist. I have a big punch list, but I had to throw some panels on it to see how it would look.

So finally got to see it on its own weight and out of the garage. It sounds mean. There are a bunch of little things to work on but it drives! The Instagram post has a video since I can't post it here.

Good day today. Fired it up for the first time! No codes. I took a video but it won't let me post it. It's not that exciting anyway except maybe too me. Hopefully it will be able to move on its own by Thanksgiving.
