    Political So now what

It bothers me that selecting judges became a political issue. You had some groups and a certain party using SCOTUS appointments as a way to achieve a very specific political goal. Whether you agree with the end point or not, I think it does weaken SCOTUS and their standing, which in the long...

    Let's Talk Lawns

Progress on our yard redo. Finally a rain free day so they poured the sports court. And started to tear out the existing landscaping (not me doing the labor.) When all is done lawn will be decreased by about 60%, with a fescue blend for the remaining that should use about 25% less water. Irony...

    Your Pic of The Day

Kids need to be challenged, and with an activity the care enough about to want to push through the hard times. My kids have trained horses (with a broken bone or two to show), ran cross country etc. All are activities they picked because they wanted to do it, which helped with the motivation...

    Michael Slade? Bigfoot?

Just got to thinking haven't seen or heard anything from Michael Slade (one of my former mission companions) or his Bigfoot project. Anyone know anything about him or what he has been up to?

Final stop was the Ngorongoro Crater (camped on the rim, morning drive into the crater.) Amazing amount of wildlife, including first rhino sightings. And all in a backdrop of yellow flowers. A good way to end the trip as we were dropped off at the airport that evening.

It was a long drive across the Serengeti, still with a lot to see and then an afternoon around Lake Ndutu before arriving near dusk at our next camp.

Final full day in the Serengeti. Another morning lion/hyena interaction. Oddly this time although the hyena had plenty of numbers to drive off the lions, they didn't really try. The interaction between the various species is facinating.

The last lion in these pictures is one of the ones that hung out near camp.
