    Perfect trip to MOAB!!

Cool pics! I'm looking at those shots on the escalator and I've decided the "easiest" line on that is the one that initially looks pretty bad. Putting your right side tires higher on the wall and your driver side front tire basically down in the hole doesn't seem quite right but it works! It...

    Front or Rear?

I've only ever had a rear locker and I've been through just about every trail I've ever wanted, lots of 4+ stuff and have only had a few time (last Saturday being one of them) when I thought I wanted a front locker too. As everyone else has said, go with the rear first and if you don't want...

    Rattlesnake 2/9/03 Wasatch Cruisers

They got torn off on the rocks. :( I guess I'll see if 4WP will replace them.

    Rattlesnake 2/9/03 Wasatch Cruisers

Although we had a huge group and ended up standing around as much as actually driving, it was a blast. Thanks for taking us out there Kurt! I'm definitely going out again (with a smaller group) ;) so I can play on the waterfall a bit more. I need to conquer that right hand line so you guys...

    Wierdest 4x4?

I'm still gonna disagree with you. That first pic you posted is NOT a VW.

    Who's rig is their DD?

Actually you guys are both wrong. It's NOT Slickrock campground. That was taken on our club run to Moab last September and a few of us stayed at the Canyonlands campground just south of the City Market. :) Much nicer cabins there!!!

    Wierdest 4x4?

That sounds right. I think Forward Control 105 is what they're called

    Car show& demonstration?!?!!

Kurt, you'll get yours on Saturday. ;) That's exactly why I bring this up because Wasatch Cruisers looked into something like this just for our own members, not open to the public, and we were going to have in the parking lot at Bountiful High School and their was a ton of resistence and they...

    Car show& demonstration?!?!!

Hopefully this won't come across like I'm being a dick about this whole thing but there are a few more things to think about. The stuff you're talking about is fine and I think it sounds like a lot of fun and I'd show up, but you need to be careful in a few areas. First off you should...

    Wierdest 4x4?

pokeyYJ, that's not a VW bus or double cab. That's actually a Jeep! I can't remember the model name but it is made by Jeep.

    Who's rig is their DD?

Mine is still my DD. One fine day, it won't be, but for now it works out fine, even with the 37's.:) I end up doing at least 60 miles/day just to and from work and more than that if I go anywhere else. It may not be the best "road" vehicle but just about every time I get in that thing, I...

    Delta

Let me add one more thing. Skytone to you specifically, I haven't seen you drive in person, but from the percieved experience I believe you have, and with the way your truck is built, Cat Canyon could be a breeze. Ok, maybe not a "sleeper" trail, but just a really good time on a better than...

    Delta

No. Cat Canyon is not that tragic. On the same trip that I just talked about we had an FJ40 with open diffs and a crawl ratio of approx. 75:1 and although it took a little extra effort in a few places, he completed the trail without breakage or taking a strap. He did however take a few of the...

    Delta

Here's a few old pics from my first trip on Cat Canyon back in June of 2000. I had never been on the trail before and ended up leading it. Had a total blast but we had a few problems. Strapping down a busted motor mount. Busted rear axle on Brandon's Bypass. 50' into the trail...

    Delta

What's this supposed to mean Kurt?! Mine is my DD and it's run Delta several times with no breaks, not even a pitman arm. ;) Just kidding man. You're right though, Delta can be brutal when you least expect it. Especially, with no lockers it can be a VERY long day.

    Favorite place to wheel?

Actually, it's worse now. They just made me the new Art Lead on our project and there's a ****load of stuff to be done before the next big deadline in a few weeks. If it doesn't come together, there's a good chance the project will be cancelled. If I can make it happen though, I'll be...

    Favorite place to wheel?

You can actually bypass ALL of Lower Helldorado to get to Upper if you want to. Once you winch up the waterfall, there's a pretty mild dirt road that leads you out of the canyon.
