Keeping the 10b front would be ok, even if I locked it? 14b are sure cheap and easy to work with, that's a good suggestion.

I'm thinking about buying an older Jeep which is located in Calif. The guy doesn't know much about it, and has only had it a few months. He says the PO swapped in axles from a K5 Blazer; they are 6 lug. I'm thinking they're 44/12B, what do you think? Sorry the pics aren't the greatest...

Perfect, thanks! So axles are good, trans and t-case so-so? I ask because I hope to someday swap the drivetrain minus the 460 into a crawler.
