This coming weekend is a big race event. Three days of racing Friday, Saturday and Sunday (8/26 thru 8/28). Should be several hundred cars from all over the west racing for big money, over $30,000 in payouts along with 8 Nitro Funny Cars on Saturday. If you have wanted to come out to RMR...

I want to join all of you but 9/16 is a race night at RMR. If I were to go out early I may be able to get the race car home, get to be and get up early and drive to Cedar Saturday morning in the Camaro.

I have a RZR XP1000 (2 seat) and can highly recommend them. The have good power and the suspension is great, Polaris makes a great machine. Make sure the Safety Recalls are installed and NEVER carry a gas can in the bed.

Thanks for the suggestions, the battery could be an issue but it is fairly new and has started the Jeep up every time, no problems until I did the fridge test. I am going to load it with some water bottles, pre cool on 120 AC and give it a try again. Planning a trip to Hole in the Rock this...

So I bought a Whynter 82 quart fridge and it kills my battery overnight. I was just doing a test and it did not have anything in it so I am not sure if it would hold the temp better if it was full. Any thoughts for other users?

Excellent trip report and pictures as usual, Dave you have many talents. I would love to get back into that area again before I get much older.

I did Imogene Pass about 30 years ago and it was beautiful. Not that is important today, but my "new" 1985 Four Runner was fuel injected but one of the Jeeps with us had a carburetor and it did not run worth a sh** at those altitudes:)

Jeff does have a shop but he only works there part time because he has a real day job. He does a lot of engine/transmission work and won't take advantage of you.
