    Cory's Cummings swap

I Went through the 205. I remember trying to put this one in a buddies blazer 10 years ago. Its been stored outside luckily upside down since then. It still had atf in it and looked great inside. I replaced both the output seals and the input seal and cleaned the magnet off inside it. Im...

    Cory's Cummings swap

Yes it is, Its really convenient when you have to hold a small part to weld. I posted this in the What did you work on today thread years ago. Both my mig welders have metal tables on them that are grounded so you can simply drop the parts on and weld right on top of them. I had also wired in...

    Cory's Cummings swap

Current pic of the crew cab with the newer wheels and tire combo. Got the Cummings yanked out last night. All the forums I read said to drop the pan or disassemble the 5 and 6 valve train to get the motor out. Guess they didn't know you could just stretch the cowl a little and do some...

    Cory's Cummings swap

We gutted the tranny and all the oem Timiken bearings look great. Waiting on the 4x4 gm main shaft, updated 5th gear lock nut and input seal, and spacer to bolt the 205 up. i already acquired a gm tail housing and a round pattern 205. Im not a Dodge or Cummins loyalist. I like all makes and...

    Cory's Cummings swap

Ya i have already tracked down some 1st gen motor mounts, Hoping the xmember on this 84 will work out with them. I did find a inter cooled 1st gen core support but would like to use my 2nd gen inter cooler if it would fit and by fit, i mean fit behind the grill. I will molest the current core...

    Cory's Cummings swap

Last night i gutted the 2wd nv4500. It needs to be gone through before anything can really get done. I will be swapping a gm 32spline 4x4 main shaft into it and bolting a gm NP205 behind it. It will get a new clutch as this one was about on the rivets, it may of even been the original clutch...

    Cory's Cummings swap

Recipient: So i picked up this sweet rare 84 Dodge crew cab short bed juanton 4x4 from a friend about 3 years ago. I got it with the intentions of making a sweet tow truck out of it and now everything has lined up right to start working on it. Donor: My current tow truck has been a low miles...

General Tech What did you work on Today?

Absolutely worth it. Makes for a nice straight tap start. Sadly some taps dont have a centering hole so be aware of that. When thats the case i will power tap it always at least as far as my chuck can hold a tap then follow it out with a wrench.

General Tech Cory's single seat selfish buggy

While swapping my parts over i noticed my GTO oil pan was cracked. To my surprise it hadn't weeped any oil out on the outside. It must be from a nut that holds my plastic skid plate to the steel plate and it may have flexed upward or a rock may have been wedged in there. Ill check the skid...

General Tech Cory's single seat selfish buggy

Me and austin pulled it in after unloading it and dropped the pan. Rod#3 was really loose and the pan was full of glitter, it was also burning a ton of oil. It was nice that it still ran. Alex came over Monday and we had the engine out in less then a couple hrs. Not looking forward to...

    Cory Pimps out his runner.

The runner did good all week hauling around 4 of us at koh luckily as i was not the only one to blow my buggy engine. I just made sure not to idle it after it warmed up. if i kept it at about 1500rpms it would maintain 20psi of oil pressure. Every one got of kick out of my Epstein flag this...
