These are the tranny/transfer case mounts from the old Suburban project I have been working on. I can't imagine driving around with mounts like these.

The LS swap in my Scrambler has been running well but the transmission shift points seem a bit off. I've been reading up on how they control the shift points and found that the main controls used for the shifts are the TPS output and the vehicle speed. I like to measure O2 sensors with my oscilloscope since the output is basically a square wave of varying period. I have several scopes if you want to borrow one. You could measure the 5V at the computer and at the sensor and see if the error is the same at both ends of the wire.

Maybe I should steal the seats out of the grandkids go-cart.

Thanks for the offer it would be good to see how much thinner they are. The 72 uses a different mounting bracket than the 76-86 CJs, it's a bar that goes from side to side with tabs that mount the seat. I modified the mounts (moved the tabs) for the seats that are in there now so it would be...

That would have been good to see what you did. I think I would still need a thinner seat as the Dodge seats will hit the cage if it goes back too far.

A few years back I fixed up an old 72 CJ5 for a friend of mine that had been out in his field for 30 years. The seats in it were shot so I found some Dodge van seats that I thought were nice. The problem is they are too thick and the only people that can drive the Jeep are short skinny people...

As a teenager I had to sweep the school next door and part of cleaning was dumping the coffee grounds from the faculty lounge. I got to HATE the smell of the stuff and still do.

I did a quick price search on some DOM in my garage that my son picked up thinking he was getting 2x1/4 wall. He ended up getting 2x5/16 wall and the prices I found were $26-32/foot, yikes. Now if he could just find someone who needs it.

I understood what you were saying and was agreeing with your recommendation.

You need to protect each circuit with their own fuse. If you feed a heavy line up then split to smaller gauge wires without a fuse you could get a short in one of the smaller gauge circuits that might not blow the big fuse. This could lead to frying the wire and a fire. Do what xjtony said.

Maybe I should tell my kids to sell some of the pieces in my garage.
