It is that same as any other coupler, correct. Im sure I could get away with a ball hitch or even a pintle but I figure making this one the first time will be nice to have if I ever need it. It seems cheap enough to build and a lot of the parts I have to order come in pairs of 2 so I will...

ah, I see what you mean.. those are all valid points. However, I don't really see any of them being much of a problem. The main idea behind it is the anti-theft which it will be great for that. I don't plan on anyone pulling the trailer besides friends or family.. so they will all have access...

I've been doing some research on 3-axis hitches and I am going to attempt to build this one to save a little bit of money. Looks like I should be able to source the parts for around $60-$70 with shipping. I found the hitch here: http://tventuring.com/trailerforum/thread-65.html Im trying...

Made some good progress on the trailer last weekend. My MIG skills aren't anywhere near what I can do with stick but the trailer should work just fine. I bought some steel for the tongue that still needs to be welded on, but I ran out of time.

    06 LJ Rubi rebuild

Yeah, it was like $86 for the custom cut. I had them move the wheel openings back 1", the rockers extended 1" to match, the fuel location moved 1" and had them add cut-outs for the stock tailgate and had them remove the spiders on the back of the corners.

Still some body work to be done, but not much. It is a little hard to tell but these corners and rockers have 1" more stretch than Poison Spyder's Daddy longlegs.

For Sale - Best Offer 2006 TJ ( Wrangler Rubicon)

for the price you are asking.. a lot of people would prefer a JK or JKU or even a JKUR with more miles. It does have very low miles and looks very well taken care of but in this economy and with how many other wranglers are out there.. i doubt anyone is going to pay your asking price. if I...

Thanks for the suggestions, ill look up those places and see what I can find. Edit: the 1"/3" rectangle tube I could use 20' and the 1" square tube I could use 20' so that should be easy. 2.5" square I could use about 10' 2" square tube I could use about 10'
