Your best practices when negotiating a salary...

Project Mgmt, Administration, and a bit of HR. I was an administrator for 40+ linguists, managing the day to day workflow. Project Mgmt for all incoming translation projects, evaluation of best assignment, quality control, managed customer expectations, data entry and analytics. I also provided...

Your best practices when negotiating a salary...

Well... I get to wait a bit longer. I have a third interview via Google Hangouts on Thursday. Still in the running, so that's something.

Your best practices when negotiating a salary...

The only curve ball thus far is the location. A new office is being established, and while all initial communication (job posting, email, telephonic interview) indicated the office would be in SLC, at the actual interview it was revealed the office would be in Lehi/Thanksgiving Point. Adds 30...

    Somewhere to start!!!

    His profile says a 2013 Ford F150. But I'm having fun imagining a modded/lifted Edge. :D

Your best practices when negotiating a salary...

Excellent comments, all. I feel that I have a realistic view of what I'm worth, even with my last job being fluid. What I was hired on to do quickly evolved in to what I had to do. It finally culminated with doing the responsibilities my boss should have done but was too incompetent to do...

Your best practices when negotiating a salary...

Thanks, guys. I appreciate all the feedback, on both sides of the issue. Having been unemployed nearly two months, I'm just trying to get myself into the best situation for my family.

Your best practices when negotiating a salary...

Hey guys. I have a few good prospects after months of searching for a new job. Both are to the point where an offer is completely possible. I've only had one job out of college, then stayed there for 6 years. What are your best practices when negotiating a salary?

    Round 2 - it's a girl!

I'm excited that we're having a girl. Nice balance. Administration, Operations Mgmt, Project Coordinator, that kind of stuff. I was a contractor with the FBI, part of an administration team handing the day to day of 40 linguists. Still have an active clearance.

    Round 2 - it's a girl!

We finally took the plunge on having another, and after much trepidation - remembering the challenges we had last time - are excited that a little girl will join the family in May. I'm digging the one of each angle, takes the pressure off later. We've started explaining to our 21-mo old son...

    ???'s for you without dish/directv/comcast....

We're fighting with this as well, but haven't figured out how to yet satisfy our Internet needs... Comcast would be $3 less than what we currently pay if we dropped tv/ondemand. Not sure that's worth it.... I have an hd antenna that was gifted to us at some point... might try it out to see.

Official Will An Off-Road Trailer Work For Me? The Off-Road Trailer Conundrum

I don't have a great picture, but on mine for scout camp I used pipe insulation and a piece of plywood. I wrapped the insulation around the edges of the trailer, placed the cut-to-size plywood on top, then secured with 4 ratchet straps, two front-to-back and two side-to-side. Kept out dust and...

    Volvo ownership experience?

I can't comment on reliability, as my "real world" experience is limited to a nearly 3 week rental (2.5 weeks in Maine, one weekend Utah) of a 2013 Volvo S60 T5 AWD covering nearly 2,000 miles. That said, I can tell you about a few other observations. MILEAGE - I was blown away by this. With...
