High winds in SLC valley tomorrow

In East Layton. Power blipped at 5am, then was out from about 6:30 to 8:30. Struggled after that but has remained on. We've had trees/branches go down all morning. Watched the top 20' of a neighbor's pine tree snap off like a toothpick. Lost 5 panels of our wood fence over into the...

I'm thinking the same.... How/where does one junk tires? Sas, though, 7/32 on both. Still usable a while.

Corona Virus: The Real Thread. Who has it? How are you affected?

I was officially "cleared" by the Davis Co. Health Department yesterday. Smell and taste have returned, and just a little bit of congestion lingers. Never had a fever or additional symptoms beyond what I originally had. Family has remained healthy, seemingly. No symptoms for them. The...

    Coronavirus

Appreciate your responses, guys. Maybe I'm taking a different track because I'm just coming out of isolation with the darn thing. I've never looked at it as being fearful, more cautious. But that is my nature to some extent. If I was informed that my kiddos had contact, I'd be more inclined...

    Coronavirus

I'm curious though, @ID Bronco ... Would you not want to know, as a parent, if your kid had contact with somebody that did test positive for the virus?

    Coronavirus

Less likely does not mean can't. And the article didn't attribute the cases to simply reopening. Taken as a whole, the article stated that 41 students out of 81,493 (76,000 attending in-person classes) had tested positive. If these cases were transmitted in the classroom setting, enough...

    Tree Branch Removal

We just used Nye's Tree Service to remove two blue spruce and a massive pine. They were very reasonably priced and clearly knew what they were doing. Didn't feel shady. Two were closer to the house, and one right on a fence line. No damage, no issues.

Corona Virus: The Real Thread. Who has it? How are you affected?

Just tested positive today. Ugh. We've been overly cautious and careful too. Friday felt like I had a headcold/allergies - congestion with some post-nasal drip. Saturday morning I had reduced taste/smell. Tuesday and my taste/smell was completely gone. No other symptoms. Got tested Tuesday...

    Your Pic of The Day

My yard has become my life lately... Previous owners had no idea what they were doing. This dirt section had 10 sprinkler heads (20x15" area) and was a mix of gravel, pea gravel, pavers, and bark. Ugh. Tore it all up, spent yesterday screening soil. Still have top left corner to screen...

    Coronavirus

If you go to the BMJ website, the British Medical Journal, the same group that penned the 2015 article referenced heavily in the video responded back in light of Covid-19. They expounded upon the performance of cloth masks, potential outcomes in the research based on the control group, and said...

    Coronavirus

I've posted many times in this thread that I'm fine with others choosing for themselves so long as they don't begrudge me the same opportunity. I didn't say you should go out and buy a faceshield. I was merely curious why that equates to being fearful, as your post stated. Those ideas, to me...

    Coronavirus

How is taking precautions, such as a facemask in a classroom, living in fear? Why is being cautious no longer allowed? Kids sneeze without covering their faces and do many other things that could (note could, not will) lead to infection, Covid or otherwise. Seems a simple thing to do to...

    Protests

Had a Target shift last night. The Centerville store backs up to a Walmart, and we had all the overflow when everyone realized Walmart was closed. It was madness, glad I was in the back most of the time.
