Great pic's James. That looks like Devon at the bottom of the falls. We should have a new 'toy' next time we see you guys.
It was fun seeing you in Salina last week - sorry I missed getting the rock chips done, I found out I had to get one of the kids to a concert at 5pm instead of 6pm.
A few of us, including Devon as leader, ran it the week after EJS. The day was cool, so I even took the Scout through - the carburator didn't boil over going up the steep grades, YEAAH! The view of Corona Arch is fantastic.
Hodaka bikes
Wow, I haven't seen a Hodaka in a long time. I used to have a '74 Super Rat and a '74 Super Combat - those bikes were extremely fast for such small cc's. I also had a '56 Ariel Red Hunter when I was in college.
Our deepest sympathies are with you Steve. You get to know the little ones quite well even before they are born. They have definite personalities and habits, and you get to love them very much before they arrive.
Crawler Hauler
I caught up with Cheston just past the top of Soldier's Summit on his way to Moab - it was like Sasquatch stepped out of the trees on a dark night and snarled at you! Real impressive going down the road. I followed his rig all the way to Green River, and it towed at 65 most of...
Trailer
Hello Jack, I still have that military trailer sitting in my yard waiting for John to pick it up. Maybe I'll just keep it and use it like you used to (grin). Neat little trailer.
I have a WWII ammo trailer (Ben Hur type) that I've thought about using for off road treks, but the darn...
Trailer
I saw you fly by the house yesterday with the Zuk flat-towed behind your new Dodge CTD. Now, get busy and build that trailer (grin).
Chad Taylor from Mount Pleasant built a haul trailer from a camp trailer just like you plan to do. It turned out great, but it only hauls one vehicle...
17" wheels
We had company today, so I didn't catch your post until now. You're welcome to pop over anytime. I also have a set of 17" Dodge rims from an '06 3/4-ton with nearly new tires you can try out.
Truck
I really have to pop over to see your new Dodge. My '03 CTD HO engine with auto has been an awesome tow rig, with no problems at all. If you tow in OD, be sure to drop into direct on hills.
Phone no.
I've lost your phone no. I'll send you a personal message to get it. No plans to go to Ogden or SLC in the near future. You're always welcome to pop over for a visit if you want.
'59 Cad
We never saw the Caddy in action, so didn't get to see what it was pushing off the start line. I used to speed out to the Salt Flats after work in the '70s to catch the last few runs of the day. Then I never went back until 2008 - the difference was astounding. Only a few hundred people...
