Tire deflators: which style and why?

I love the idea of Staun deflators. I had the Smittybilt knockoff, and after airing down, air pressure would vary anywhere from 1-3 lbs. You can fine tune them, but was never able to dial them in correctly. Unfortunately, it isn't surprising coming from Smittybilt IMO. I'd be shocked if the...

Ham Radio Operators! What radio / band do you use?

Thank you sir! I'd love that, but will have to take a raincheck. I've got other obligations tonight, otherwise that would be very appealing. I'll shoot you a brief text. I'll be up that way next weekend for a club meeting, if you're around I'd like to come check out your setup.

Ham Radio Operators! What radio / band do you use?

I don't think I've seen that one. I've been communicating with a guy selling a 7800 and the faceplate remount kit for $250. I'm torn because if I go to ham radio outlet, I can get a brand new 7900 for $330, so for around $80 more I get everything new. Not sure what to do yet.

Ham Radio Operators! What radio / band do you use?

Mind snagging a pic of your install when you get a moment? I'm intrigued. I'm currently considering waiting a little longer and getting the FT-7900R, one of the big selling points is just what you described above. Agreed. I have a UV5R currently, and have been very impressed with what even...

Ham Radio Operators! What radio / band do you use?

I'm a relatively new ham radio licensee, and I'm looking to get a mobile Ham Radio for my TJ for our back country excursions. I like the Yaesu FT-2980R, but only works on 2m. The FT-7900R will work on 2m and 70cm, but is decently more money. Which band do you normally talk on while wheeling...

    Teralow 4:1 231HD Transfer Case

It is a shorter overall length, I believe they told me around 4” shorter for the 2 speed, I’m betting the 4 speed is at least as long as a 231, maybe more. The size is bigger than a 231, for a TJ you either need to modify the belly skid, or massage the trans tunnel unless you have a 1” body...

    Teralow 4:1 231HD Transfer Case

Good call. If the day comes where I sell the TJ for another rig, I'll keep in mind to pull it out before selling.

    Teralow 4:1 231HD Transfer Case

Well, brown santa delivered yesterday. It took about 7 weeks to get it. Not too bad compared to other friends who have waited over 3 months to get their t-cases. Hope was to install it same weekend it got here, but will be down in Manti with a youth group this weekend. I've taken off Monday...

    Teralow 4:1 231HD Transfer Case

Special thanks to @N8RB8R. I finally made time to pull the planetary assembly out, and had Nate look at them. He confirmed that it is ruined. I ordered an Atlas earlier this week in anticipation of it being bad, knowing the odds were against me. AA is about 5-6 weeks out currently, so I'll...

    Teralow 4:1 231HD Transfer Case

Tore it down and took some pics. I would imagine if the chain were rubbing the case there would be marks on the case. I didn't see any, but did take pictures for the more experienced. I ran my finger along the wall of the housing and below it shows what I picked up. I also took a picture of...

    Teralow 4:1 231HD Transfer Case

Okay, here's my rig: TJ with the NV3550, NP231 w/ Teralow 4:1 T-case, Teralow 2-low shift selector, and AA SYE. The Jeep has 83,000ish miles on it. The Teralow gearset has been installed for ~5 years, with maybe 10,000 miles on it since the install. The last few years, the Jeep is lucky to...

    Audiointerrupt.com

I was talking to a co-worker who also wheels today, and he shared this company with me: www.audiointerrupt.com I had been looking for a solution like this for years, and unfortunately I may be too close to EJS to get it before heading down. Long story short, I have a Cobra 75WXST which doesn't...

Archived EJS Prep.... what are you working on?

My TJ needs its annual oil change, and a quick once over with the suspension, other fluids topped off, adjust the height of my bump stops, check bearings and tire pressure on the trailer, and top off fluids in the tow vehicle. Just minor things.

    My Car Hauler

Beautiful trailer. Glad to hear you like the Flip Jack Foot. I've got one on my car hauler as well. I work for the company that builds those, along with your coiled breakaway cable. Just down the road in Provo.
