Nope, they’re just the ones that came with the hubs for steel wheels. I need to order some 1/2x20 big bulge nuts yet.

MTECH also has two new campuses in the works as well, one in Payson, and one in Heber that will create a few more openings either there, or based out of Lehi if we have people transfer. That will be a ways down the road, but we'll probably be hiring for a plumber, and possibly an electrician. I...

    Nate’s longterm tiny shop build

Ah gotcha! I saw the gas line talk and thought you were referring to HVAC stuffs. Curious who you got a quote through? I’ve been thinking about a garage in my backyard.

Estimate for what? I’m trying to read through the thread right now but missed it I think.

    Electric Yard Tools... Ryobi?

I’ve been eyeing it as well. Unfortunately for the little bit I do cut, it’s not justifiable. I just use my sawzall with a gnarly blade for cutting up the small stuff I got.

Got some tires, got a set of 3 for $70. They are van take offs, 235/65r16 Continental’s. Load rating at 3,197 each, combined total of 6,394. My XL7 weighs 4,000, trailer is right about 1100 from my maths, so that leaves me with almost 1300 lbs of wiggle room at full pressure. I’ll probably run...

If you’re okay with less money, or able to make it work, I would suggest looking at local government jobs. City or state jobs are very chill. I’ve been in a state college position for 5.5 of the last 6 years. I make significantly less than anybody in the private sector for my trade, but in my...

    Tool Deals / Sales

I’ve been wanting to get one for a while. Perhaps it’s time to pull the trigger!

Also folded up, drilled, and welded on some 3/16” to make new leaf hangers. Measured triple times and checked square, trying to get it dialed in just right.

I don’t have a router, but I do have plywood and hole saws. At first, I attempted to use my HVAC hole cutter, but it didn’t work. So I got a 125mm (4.9”) hole saw, and bored it that way. Fits perfect now! Just need to clean the wheels up and refinish them somehow. And get new lug nuts. P.S.-...

I agree that camber is proper. But….this is the “X” axis of the axle, so it’s got toe in!

I was kinda leaning towards it anyways when I bought the thing. I’ll probably narrow this axle, keep it straight, and use it for a smaller utility trailer.

Looks like new axle time. I noticed this before, but didn’t pay much attention to it. Only now noticed just how screwed it is.

Is it ok to have a "make light of" thread?

Saw this on FB Seems about $800 overpriced for the shape it’s in.

    Your Pic of The Day

Maybe not too crazy, but found this in an old toolbox of mine tonight. My dad gave me this, was my very first socket set when I was around 9 or 10, about 18 years ago! Definitely just sentimental with not much value otherwise, since there’s no metric!

Tools that you just can't live without

After @STAG posted his welding square, I’ve been wanting one. Fireballs version is nice, but overpriced. I found lots of DIY versions online, but not really anything with a decent outside cornerability. Trying my hand at making a version now. 4x4, if it works, I’ll cut it again 6x6.

Well crap I bought some GM alloys from Gravy. Went to test fit, and discovered the center bore doesn’t clear my 8 lug hubs. Guess I better measure again before I buy any more wheels.

Do not buy a carry on trailer.

I went and looked at a flatbed trailer at TP the other day to haul a scissor lift. I saw the quality of the welds, they were awful, so I got back in my car and left. Also, the dealership was a joke. They have zero customer service.
