I had thought about doing something similar with using a SD 50 and TTB but just not worth the work to have something that you can't trust. Also getting everything lined up well enough for a daily driver is questionable. I scrapped all the ttb parts and bought a 60 frt for $300:D

Yep, tranny is the biggest concern. No way to know the real condition of it until it slips, then it is full rebuild time. If it has had a tranny cooler added, that helps. Other wise make sure there is no fuel in the valley. the fuel pumps tend to develop leaks later in life, not a major issue...
